..for this summer! I received an internship with a company out in Chatsworth, CA. Anybody live in/or around Chatsworth? Is it a good or bad area?
I am very excited to have the chance to get out of Michigan and go West! I will be leaving MI in mid May, and the Neon will be left behind. Luckily the company is giving me a rental car for the 3 months I will be there!

Don't listen too
Mox. Sounds like a great opportunity for you, and that's fantastic.

However I can not tell you anything about Chatsworth, as I live 70 or so miles south of there. I live in Costa Mesa which is next to Newport Beach. Anyway I hope you have a great time out here.

Tell me something I should know about it Mox. Did you used to live there, or do you still live there?

Is it a paid internship? Sounds pretty sweet, but how are you gonna support yourself out there?

not as many as in California.
There were days where I would go to work and not speak English the entire day. Trust me, Its a lot worse in California.

I am going to be paid very well(for an internship), and I am only responsible for the first $500 dollars a month towards my rent. Gas and a vehicle will be provided as well. Groceries and other things are all on me though. To me it sounds like a good opportunity.

You'll be 3 hours south of me, but I can ask my buddy if it's decent, he lives near there. He drives up here every other weekend or so.
And you will be JUST a bit away from the 1........Fuck!ng SPECTACULAR driving, views, and photo opportunities!!!

I am pumped for all of the site seeing, and the beach. The closest beach city is Malibu!

Sounds interesting...at least it will get you out of your element. You wont have any experience of the area to fall back on as you would in the mid-west.
What are you going to be doing out there?

Hey I figured I would give 2gn an update.. I have a new car, a 2009 Hyundai Sonota. Pic below of my car:
.... BTW this car is only for this summer. Nice car, but I would never want a Hyundai.
And the scenery of the Valley:
- I am living in Woodland Hills which is about 30 min away from LA
- Loving the weather
- Loving the area
- And traffic isn't that bad compared with Metro Detroit.
I am starting to get very busy with work, so I won't be able to be on as often. Everyone enjoy your summers!
