Moving to Alabama!

Post by OverDrive418 » Mon Jun 23, 2008 2:28 pm

That's right, thanks to the oh so generous budget cuts here in Florida I have been forced to take a job out of state, which means I'll be loading up a Penske and moving this weekend to the Montgomery area for presumably the next 2-5 years.
So if anybody's in the area or knows of any cool shops, hang-outs, shows, autocrosses or anything like that let me know because I know nothing about Alabama except that it's a sweet home and for some reason I should show up with a banjo on my knee (or is that only if I'm coming FROM Alabama?)!

Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of the car. Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you're going when you hit the wall, and torque is how far you drag the wall with you.

only when you come from Alabama, should you have a banjo on your knee. In your case, you will get a banjo once you move in and get a drivers license. They hand them out at the DMV in AL. :D

Congratz though, some people loose a job and CANT find a new one, whether moving or not. Sorry it is AL, though.

Sweet, then I can sit on my porch and learn how to strum "My fat baby loves to eat "!

Nope, true stuff!!! My sister moved to AL and was in the DMV getting her license replaced and they handed her a banjo. She said, "what's this?" They said, "The Alabama state bird... now go practice!"

LOL. Good Ole Alabama! I'm actually writing this sitting at a computer on the old Anniston Military base. I'm here doing some training for the DNC thats coming to Denver. Going through the live nerve agent (VX, Mustard, G, H) course tomorrow in a level B suit.

I miss my neon at times. She treated me well and taught me a lot about cars in general. I will always have a special place in my heart for these cars. Heres to the 2gn community.
