2002 Acura RSX Type S
Hey guys I just wanted to say that I am going to take a look at this car tomorrow night and hopefully test drive it.
It is a Pearl White 2002 Acura RSX Type-S with 45,000 miles for $11,500. So give me some feedback to let me know if this is a good deal or not

The interior is 10x better, they're a lot quicker with a stronger motor and more engine bay room.
I would trade my neon for a Type S...but I wouldn't pay for it.
It looks like that one has the leather seat and steering wheel...plus he already have black housing lights and a lip. nice!

You're asking on a Neon forum...about a car vs the Neon.
The RSX Type S is superior in every aspect to your average Neon. (no, this is not hating on the Neon...)
The interior is nicer...the car handles better...the motor responds to mods quite well.
The K20 is a stout little Honda motor...
The price seems pretty fair...

In comparision to a regular neon the Type-s is way better if you were to put it up aginst a acr or even an R/T chances are the neon is faster (around the not stright parts they are all that matter) since you will want to know anyway yes it is faster down the stright 4.4x gearing and a 8500rpm redline make up for the complete lack of torque the only problem with the car is the price new you were easily looking at $23000 for the same money you could have had an SRT-4 which is simply faster or an SER-v which is less high strung or a WRX which is a whole different car.
Why do people think honda interiors are so great what am I missing. If you really think about it there is nothing wrong with a 2gn interior.

I wouldn't do it. Its modded and probably has 45k of hard ass miles. Find out how long the second owner had it for. He bought it from his friend afterall and if hasn't owned it that long then he is getting rid of it for a reason thats probably mechanical related. I would stay away from it man. You could get a NSRT-4 with that kind of mileage for around that price. It doesn't have Vtec but thats okay. =)

Is 2002 the ones with the scalloped headlights?
The newer ones are much sexier and have more power. Besides that there is nothing wrong with a RSX if its been taken care of though an A-Spec would give a neon a good run thru the curvies.

Well I test drove it today. Now this is the first time I drove a V-tech and was quite impressed. I have a 2001 R/T and love this neon to death but simple facts are that it is geting high in mileage and the RSX is the car I always wanted to own. The exterior had a few blemishes nothing major, interior was pretty much spotless, and the engine bay was a little dirty. Overall I like the car. I got the VIN # to run a carfax and let the owner know that I will be taking it to my mechanic before everything is a done deal. He only put 4,00 miles on it in the past year. He even showed me the papers to prove it.
I appeciate the feeback I will keep you guys posted...

Get it if you can man, they are deffinetely built a lot better than the neons. And of course it reflects in the price...no nuthuggers can deny that.
Hope you get it!
