They way I read the last line there stated that. If I knew thats what you meant initially I would not of posted it.

In a bad economy the number 2 position to have where your less likely to be let go or downsized is Software Engineer. The first is corporate sales reps.

I apologize for reading your initial response wrong, it's just I have friends who turned down job after job just because it didn't pay enough. I'm not talking 25k, more like 55k and they think with little experience they are worth 80k which is definitely not probable.
Nah, if I got offered 55k I'm pretty sure I'd be all over it. Also, hopefully the economy will have a chance to turn around some more in the few more years I have left until I'm done. Hopefully.
It's more probably than bragging about making $200 an hour :roll:
