Don't get me wrong this guy is an amazing swimmer. But, I don't swim, lol so his accomplishments are not compared to anything in my head. However, I just found out that he takes in up to 12,000 calories a day
http://www.nypost.com/seven/08132008/ne ... 124248.htm
What?@!
I do my best to take in 5,500 - 6,000 a day and that is difficult...
This guy is my hero

And the most decorated Olympian of all time. Phelps is just crazy. They had an article on him in my state newspaper today that was talking about when he was a child. His teachers basically said that because he had ADHD he would never amount to anything in his life.
Fucked up eh? Way to show em Mike
Sidenote: 12k a day is friggin NUTS.

wow...you guys don't eat much at all.
I run through 4k on a slow day and maybe 6k when I'm feeling hungry. Though I run 5 days a week and work out a lot. The Marine Corps keeps me going...
I still don't know how he beat that guy to get his seventh. That was too close

you can see it on NBC.com. Fingertip ftmfw.
3500 keeps me fit. It's not unhealthy calories tho, except the eggs for breakfast. I'm trying to lose weight anyways. 25# in 2 months, with another 7-10 to go. Then it's bulk up time. I'll probably jump to 6-7000/day then. Need to get to 165 by October.

Well good luck with that.

I hope you achieve your goal. I'd just like to tone, but have to wait until after my hip is fully healed.

I hope I hit my goals too. If I don't, I'll have to fight someone heavier than me, if my coach even let's me fight.

it's more a hobby than what I'd like to do for a living, but if I end up doing well, I'll take money LOL. I got into it because the training is retarded, I'm in better shape now than I was in high school playing 2 sports and lifting weights. After getting punched in the face a few times in training, I can't wait to fight now.

ask dave... i could probably take in 12,000 if i really tried. but the bloated feeling you'd have for the next week wouldn't be worth it.

eating 12000 calories isn't hard over the course of a day. Working it off, and not gaining 5# of fat a week, is.
