so can it? its being discussed over on a ford truck forum. i never heard of it but let me quickly explain. with the 302's and 351w's, the pcv hose is directly on top of the #8. with this, some people said that the vapors can change the mixture in the cyclinder. this causes rod, rod bearing failure and holes in the #8 piston. so anybody that has automotive knoledge, please explain to me if you have ever heard of this. i try googling it and all comes up is bunch of oil crap but doesnt explain it. thanks.

From what I understand oil vapor is less volatile than gas under that premise it should "add" to the octane level. I know for a fact I have been sucking oil thru the PCV into my manifold for years and the engine is running strong besides burning oil.

I don't think that it changes it that much. On same note, the PCV hose basic purpose in life is to deliver the vapors back to the combustion chamber via the manifold.
