These cardboard blocks the kid across the street had lol
One of my friends had these pipes that you could assemble into different things... it was like a giant K'nex set if you want to call it that. There were wheels so you could make a car if you wanted to. No idea but it was fun lol.
I don't really remember much else... I always took everything apart to see how they worked then put them back together lol

I once did that with a reel to reel tape recorder and had parts left over once I finished putting it back together.

But it still worked.

LEGO bricks is my answer, and the official term for such things. LEGO is just considered to be the brand name, so says the company I REALLY want to work for but they're moving out of the US.
