Here's something that has plagued my mind with curiosity. What does SXT stand for. I know SRT is Street and Racing Technology, but I can't find what SXT is. Anybody know?

Do you have a hood light? Cupholder light? Lighted lock and window switches? Trunk carpet? Folding mirrors?

Wanna retract that statement? :thefinger:

:withstupid:

Actually, I think that SXT might be a subliminal play on the word "sex" (I actually read that someplace but don't remember where).

On some cars in other model lines SE does mean Special Edition. Just not the Neon.

lol the real story behind it is my friend had wrecked his car. had a rental and it was a neon sxt. Which they gave it the nickname b/c they went four wheeling in it. And they said it did better than my one friends truck did in the mud and dirt trails.

I think it means "Luxury" or something like that. However it was originally supposed to be "XL", "Xtreme Loser."

SXT was once know as SE+Plus

It's just a trim designation. Kinda like an ES (extra special?) but not the total package. SE+Plus some other shit like polished wheels and a CD changer. 2002 was the last year for SE+Plus.

I always thought that sxt was the base model and se was the model above that one, right before the r/t and srt models :tardbang: I guess I was wrong.

I've read that too. A marketing ploy to bring up sales in the youth market.

SE is the Stripped Edition, and the ES is what they came up with when they had a mexican guy in that position. He kept saying edition stripped, because he was so used to saying the noun first and the adjective second.

Thats weird I was thinking about what SXT meant at work the other day when I was staring at the back of a SXT Caravan.

I was talking to someone randomly at work today and we agreed.. any trim line with a vehicle that uses an "X" is just used to make you think "sex"

so.. SXT ... is the "sex" trim line of the neons.

lol
