Had the termite inspection and the home appraisal today.

It had already been treated for termites because there was a termite problem. The stuff they used will get on the termites and then they take it back to the colony and kill the colony.

The home appraiser didn't see any reason for it to appraise for less than selling price. Other houses in the area that were similar sold for more.

So, we are just waiting for the small list that we are submitting to the seller of deficiencies. I can probably fix all of them on my own, but a couple are a PITA, so I don't want to do it. Probably the biggest things are a header under the kitchen that was cut by a dummy running the plumbing to the kitchen, and attic insulation. We are also going to try to get them to route the bath fan vent to the outside and put in a dryer vent.

I'm thinking 12x20 shed, with electric, insulation, heat, a work bench, etc, etc, etc. Something I can have some fun in and not take up the house with hobbies.
Don't forget the adult beverage fridge, couch, flat screen TV, etc etc.

The lift isn't even the most exciting part of the garage.

Unless you have hot naked women running around handing you power tools, I don't see what could be better. I bet it cuts install times in half

Yes, however there was a little bill that eliminated the down payment assistance money that we were to get, to the tune of nearly $8000.

It's for the better this way. The loan is around $55,000 less, the monthly payments are around $600 less per month. We are in a single family house with a little over .25 acres. It is definitely for the better.

Yeah, I will be forced to control the disease for a little while due to lack of money for it and only working on the major things.

I do have great news though, we will be getting back the full $1000 deposit that we had on the townhouse.

It's true Frank...my wife and I are po too and we are still spending money on the house :banghead:

But it's all for the good. With the market the way it is now, in X numbers of years if you decide to sell you will be set

My mind is going nuts right now. I just found direct burial Cat5e, you know what that means....

INTERNET IN THE SHED W00T.

I have a massive plan. Get a gas dryer and use the dryer breaker to run to a subpanel in the shed, with a couple 20A breakers for the outlets, lights and air compressor. All this for a utility shed ;)

I really don't see a decent size garage going in at this place. I will be happy with the shed for a while.

I don't see my dad moving out of his place ever, he has everything he ever needs in his garage. I'll mooch off of him and use his lift when I need to.
