I know man, I have a long trip to school and back every single day, and the gh3y thing is, the hours I go to school, it's been almost impossible for me to get a job, and have time to study.
Plus it doesn't help having to pay $2.83 for 87 and $3.03 for premium.

Luckily I've got scholarships and a job...it really helps a lot
That makes me rich in a lot of people's eyes, but my freshman year, I made the mistake of letting that "I'm rich" thought get to my head and now have tons of debt as an artifact of that.
I hope you have a credit card. The grace period will help here for my #2 money-saving strategy. Buy your books used at the bookstore. Then search for them online and buy them shipped to you quickly (gotta meet the bookstore return deadline). Return the books that you bought from the bookstore. Enjoy the savings of buying online while having the books when you need them.
A good place to go is half.com. You run the risk, however, of buying a totally crappy book if you buy less than "Very Good." I've never tried, but people sell used books on amazon.com as well.
Oh, and if you don't keep your books, try to sell them online (half.com or amazon.com again). The ones that don't sell can be sold to the bookstore if your school still uses them.
Next semester, find out what books you need before the semester starts. Buy them online and save big bucks! I've saved $200-$300 per semester doing that.dblsg wrote:i need 900 bucks just for books...... and i need the books for monday... and i have $5 in the bank...... i can't afford to fall behind in class... damn being broke sucks ass.
