Hit hard on the unit calibration and officer training issues.

I'll look in my '04 service manual and see what section the speed limiter information is located. The FWD Steering/Suspension course I used to teach also gives the information you need.

"S" rated tires are capable of 112mph sustained speed. Cars originally equipped with these tires are set at 108mph top speed.

"H" rated tires are capable of 130mph sustained speed. Cars originally equipped with these tires are set to 126mph top speed.

These speeds are programmed into the engine controller to shut off the fuel injectors when these speeds are reached and corporate will not give a flash reprogram to change these due to product liability.

If you have enough evidenceto prove that it wasnt you then all you may have to do is tell them that you want a jury trial and the judge will look at your stuff and dimsiss it right there or set a trial date.
what kind of evidence did you bring w/ you to court?
Sorry if its a little late but the evidence that I am refering to is the statement form my local dodge dealer stating the top speed of the truck and a a picture of a red bike next to the truck. And how hard it was to differentiate between the two. Having the dealership do an inspection of the vehicle and a statement was all I really needed.

i had the computer scanned...nothing came up. they said the check engine light had to come for it to tell a speed. the check engine light has never come on. :( the dodge ppl are doing some reasearch for me and i have a meeting w/ a lawyer this thursdy. the dodge ppl said that they would write a statement for me saying that the car cannot reach that speed vs an srt4 can, etc, ect. etc.

so thats about as good as im gonna get it guess. still debating on the dyno though :-/

Just remeber that the burden of proof is on the state. they have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that it was you and the statement alone will get you out of it.

All I have to say is I hope for the best for you.

*slightthreadjack* I just fought a speeding ticket and while it wasn't completely dropped the fine was reduced $50 and it went down as an "inetentive driving" offense instead which will not be refelected on my record. Needless to say I was happy. *backtothetopic*

how is that ticket only 325 bucks? thats 72 over....maybe the laws are differen there. I live in mass and i got a 230 ticket for 83 in a 65, thats 18 over. 50 for the initial ticket and 10 per mph over. that should equate to a 770 ticket, thank god u dont live in MASS....good luck with everything, I wish u the best, cops can be pricks alot of the time.
