Mine is driving from Tampa to South Carolina (I forget were, were ever the Marine Basic Training base is. It was for my cousins graduation from Basic.) to Atlanta and back to Tampa. I've been wanting to drive up to Ohio to go to Kings Island and Cedar Point again and to Virgina to go to Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens again. And if I had the money/time off/time period/will power I would want to drive to California.

What were you doing, picking up drugs on the Mexican border?

Right now the record is a little less than 500 miles.

Hopefully by the end of the year I'll have broken that going one way.

Indianapolis, IN to Toronto, ON. Toronto to Washington, D.C. via Niagra Falls. Washington back to Indianapolis. I can't remember the exact number of miles as this was back in '96. I did spend a few days in Toronto so it wasn't consecutive miles.

Longest trip in the Neon: 300 miles each way. Thats going back to NY every year or so.

Longest trip ever: Austin, TX - Sweetwater, TX - Midlothian, TX - Plano, TX all in one day. While making 1 stop in Austin, 1 stop in Sweetwater and 1 stop in Midlothian. The next day i drove to OKC. That was probably the most miles in a day.

The most taxing trip was when I left BWI in the morning, flew to OKC and landed right around mid day. Made a stop in OKC and then proceded to drive to Monroe, LA. I started the day around 6a EST and pulled into the hotel around midnight CST. Then made a stop in Monroe the next morning, and Columbia, LA (little bit south of Monroe) and then drove the 4 or so hours to Dallas. Flew from Dallas to BWI on the third day.

The second longest alone was SE WI to Ft Worth, TX. Left at 6:30am Sunday, and pulled into the hotel parking lot at 12:30am Monday. That was for Neon2K6.
I've made many trips to the Houston area from SE WI, and many trips to the New England area to visit the wife's family.

The longest ever trip alone was from Nacogdoches, TX to Coventry, RI, back in '86 in a '72 Ford F100 SWB Sport Custom. It had a cap on the back, so I slept under that at rest stops along the way. It was around 1700 miles, if I recall.

When I was in HS, we took a family camping trip that went from Houston all the way to Hearst, Ontario. We saw Niagara Falls, and looped around the Great Lakes. I think I remember my Mom saying we did about 3500 miles in those 3 weeks. That was many hours in the old '78 Merc station wagon...

Tri-Cities, WA to Los Angeles, CA and back. I've done it the past two summers with my friends, it's a blast.

Longest single drive was about 19 hours from Crescent City, CA, up the Oregon coast and through the Columbia River Gorge back to the Tri-Cities.

Oh yes, drugs were involved... I had Tylenol with me.
