I love the portion that say POOR crash rating. I thought this was a safe car. not. HA
Here Is Urban Dictionary Version I like it better
dodge neon
Also known as a Piece-o-Shit, this car has to be the worst car ever made. Although it may look cool and have a great name, this car has many defects. Everything from gaping holes in the back floor panel, to missing interior, from failing clutches, to having the clear coat applied before the paint, this car takes the cake as the worlds worst idea of a car.
The Dodge Neon Sport, found in many junkyards.

There is also something not taken into account. A Neon has been primarily a first car for most drivers. And as we know, first time drivers aren't the best

SRTs don't help the matter.

my first car was a mazda 626 that was 2.4 turbo'd and mtx. I moved to a 2.0 atx cause it was a lot more fun but the fact is no mater what car people own they all get a bad rap for people defiying the speed limit in them.

My first car many years ago was a 1972 Ford Pinto... so relatively speaking my current Neon seems like a lux-o-boat in comparison.
Although... the Pinto was a hatchback which I loved. It would have been relatively easy to make the Neon a hatchback but by that time it seems the hatchback fell out of favor.

I couldn't tell you how many 16 years olds I see behind the wheel of an SRT4 that think they are invinsable.
That is NOT a car for a newbie driver!!

Indeed, Ill attribute alot of that to the fact they have never been taught to respect the power a SRT-4 has. Not sure why parents just go out and buy something as fast as a SRT-4 for their new driver. Then they just give it hell 24/7 and do dumb shit the whole time they drive it.

Look at the numbers given. The Neon outperforms all the cars on the first list for single vehicle crashes and rolls.
In multi-vehicle crashes, well, at least you weren't driving a Spectra hatch.
