Anyways, we have been struggling with the fuel map, it doesnt start up or idle very well, which I guess is how some race engines are I was told. But anyways to get it started we needed to tow the car around and help get it started and get it up to temp so that it is a little easier to push start. So I happened to have driven to campus that evening so my neon was going to tow with some one in the trunk monitoring the tow strap that went through the trunk latch.
It was quiet the sound to hear a loud neon putting at 2k (~13mph)and hearing a kawi 600cc starting reving and back firing dieing (repeatinlgy), down campus way. As we turned around to head back to the shop their was a campus police officer on a bicycle that pulled us over. He told us that the arch way I just drove under was for emergency vehicles only (apparantly there was a sign somewhere..lol), and mentioned that people might complain about noise, but was totally cool (or atleast didnt say anything about someone sitting in the trunk or the fact that we were towing the formula car through campus. He said he heard us from a ways away and came t o investigate, and we got a lot of funny stares from pedestrians..lol. He just gave us a warning and told us to not drive under the arch. We got back to our parking lot and were able to push start the formula car and drive it around the parking lot and was just a blast!
It was a very akward situation for someone to see im sure...lol
Heres a pic of what I was towing...its the car on the rack.
