i didnt have to work for it!! when my work closed down they gave everyone severance pay, not bad for 1 3/4 yr of working there!!..

If you don't have to live on that money, YAY! If you don't then even more YAY! Take $5K of that and put it into a high yield CD or IRA. Spend the rest on hookers and blow.

I'd rather have a job than a severance payment.
If you can grab another job quickly then you have a nice bundle of funds to sock away.
If you cannot then you may need those funds to survive so don't start with the mods & hookers just yet.

lol.. i dont need to live on the $$ id rather have a job too i have been puttin my name in places near by but no one is hireing rt now good thing the gf got a good job working in a nursing home! 2500 is for spending on some mods to my car the rest is going my saving account!!

im not luck i lost a job grossing over 6k a month with full bennies, what i get on unenjoyment isnt even 1 of my paycheck that i would have gotten if they stayed open!

im not going to be having a job until next spring!
what would be Irresponsible? is to spend the 2k on mods if i needed the money for say rent/ food/ other stuff like that and i dont!

no i havent lived with my parents since i was 17 i still have an income of over 3k after tax's each month btwn gf and I
i wish i lived with my parents . i wouldnt be driving a 2000 plymouth neon if that was the case!

Oh, I completely agree. But it's fairly decent to say the least. I don't make $3k a month and fair O.K...but I also live at home
