i seriously have steam coming out of my ears. Heres what happened i sold a item to a member of srtforums who lived in canada. i have done business with him before so i figured fine. well i send him the item. the first time i sent him stuff it took ten days to go through customs and stuff. well ten days after i send this one. my paypal locks and says a buyer has requested a refund. i was like wtf. so i called him he said he still hadnt gotten it. so wtf i figured it got lost but i thought that maybe he was just scaming. well anyways as you know im doing an srt swap and my paypal is vital. i need it to purchase stuff. so first i fax them all the reciepts for the item with tracking number. 15 days go by this whole time my account is locked. they tell me they are still processing it. so i was like fuck it just issue him a refund and whatever i wasnt really worried about it. SO they tell me to hook up my bank account. so i give them all that info and another 15 days has gone by now its been a month my paypal has been locked and they said on th 19th today it should clear. i call them and they tell me that the payment didnt clear!!!!! wtf i have thousands in my bank account and the refund is for 14.55!!! wtf my paypal has been locked for a fucking month for this shit. they tell me they cant just take it from my card incase of a charge back! wtf its 14.00 holy fuck im so mad right now. i called bank of america they dont know what the deal is i called paypal back and she said well lets just try again. fucking sweet.

I'm getting annoyed with PayPal as well...

I just sold a phone on eBay, it was pratically brand new, mint condition, and the buyer paid a pretty penny for it too.

The seller emailed me outside of eBay/PayPal and said they want a discount on the phone because they paid too much compared to other auctions. They also said they really didn't like the phone all that much AFTER bidding on it MULTIPLE times and BUYING it...

Now the buyer has gone through PayPal stating the phone is defective, says it doesn't work, and it wasn't as described. I forwarded all the emails to PayPal, and they said they can't use them as evidence, because it was outside of their communication terms...

So now my account is frozen, which I don't really care. I've been trying to ween myself off of eBay, never a better time to start! If they try to recover the funds from my bank account, the bank is going to get another phone call (I called the manager of the bank and gave them a heads up), and if they try to go through my credit card, they will get another call (I called them aswell, and gave them a headsup too).

This is not the first this happened either...

Stupid ass-hats buy stuff and keep clicking 'bid' 'bid' 'bid' and then they want a discount after all is said and done...

Thats the end of my rant.

yeah holy shit more paypal news.. I tried to send money from a buddys account and instead of taking money from his active card they authorized an echeck through his old bank account which isnt even listed through his paypal... so he called and said you better not try and get the money because if i get a 35 dollar charge you guys are fucked. and they were like we cant cancel it.. thats the short story. so same thing he had to call his old ass bank and tell them dont let the money go through..

I've had a problem as well but I was lucky because UPS paid the refund instead of me...a guy bought a camera I sold on ebay and "never got it". The guy went through paypal and tried to file a claim against me to get his money back and I sent all the stuff to paypal so they could "look over" all the evidence and rule on the claim within a month; after 3 months the guy gave up the claim because paypal didn't even bother to look at his claim. We settled it through UPS in 3 days. He got his money back and most likely has my camera as well...though I made an extra $70 on the deal since UPS gave me exactally what I insured it for.

This is the exact reason why I completely stopped selling stuff on eBay. Its nice to sell my old stuff, but I hate when the auction ends, and you get that dreaded email "I never got anything" or "it doesn't work."

I'm glad my PayPal account is frozen, I'll never use them again. Its a scam, especially with their stupid 4% rate, and then ebay's rate, not to mention their insertion fee, picture fee, gallery listing fee, etc...

in 500+ transactions on ebay (with payments through paypal) both buying and selling ive never had a problem. guess its luck of the draw + combination of retards on either end that determine the outcome.

I haven't had any problems with PayPal, but it costs to damn much for most of the stuff I do. I haven't used ebay anywhere near as much as I used to.

I have two things for sale here that if they don't sell may go on ebay just to get rid of them, but I might put them on Craigslist.
