Just used the links that Greg posted to see that at work (Costco) I can get 87 for $2.60. That's not really cheap but it's alot to be happy about when the gas station right down the road is upwards of $2.80 now.

I seriously am about to take a phase break from school because I cannot afford paying 3.09 for 87 and $1100 a month for rent. Especially driving 94 miles roundtrip to Wyotech and back, everyday.
I only have two 6 week classes left too, 6 weeks off wil give me some time to get stuff done anyways.

In the Houston area regular went from 2.47 to 2.55 between monday and tuesday and from 2.55 to 2.89 between tuesday and wednesday. These are some of the highest prices ever seen in Houston. Im just glad I dont use premium and get 35 mpg in the Hyundai.
FYI most gas stations are charging cost or just a couple of cents over cost. The suppliers are charging them more so in turn they charge us more. Most gas stations make the money on stuff that is sold inside the store. I conside the price increases as gouging because without the storm prices would have stayed the same. Prices in California were at 2.75 for regular imn May when I was there so I would hate to see what regular is now out there.

In my town it was 2.89 last night. I went to work "the back way" this morning, so I don't know if they went up over night. On my way to work I saw prices from 2.99 to 3.19.

Hell yeah! That's what I wanna' see around here. I just wish they could inform the public more about gas pricing... Like, I don't care what a fucking barrel of oil costs... I wanna' know how they come up with the pricing of gasoline at the pump.

This is the first time I'm seeing major gas lines since 1971-72 during the Arab Oil Embargo. Luckily for me I commute by train to work.

Don't you just love the way some people take advantage of a situation for thier own profits. Its one of the downfalls in our country.

Just curious, but why 93 instead of regular?

Something else to think about. A locking gas cap. You know thats the next thing coming. People stealing others gas. Gas drive offs are already up 50%. Most stations are requiring "pay first" or pay at the pump. (which I totally agree with). Its only gonna get worse.

I had a friend try to siphone gas out of the tank in her neon before because she was over the limit required to enter an indoor carshow, she couldn't physically get the gas out of her neon due to something blocking way. An officer stopped (to see what we were doing) and informed us that cars after a certain year (not sure what year it was) have a chicken wire style filter to block acces to the fuel tank.
Can anyone confirm this?
