Question about buying a parts car

Post by Mopar65 » Fri Jan 16, 2009 9:37 am

Im looking at buying a wrecked 04 SRT. Im assuming I have to buy it through the insurance company, but do I get it in its current condition (with all the parts and stuff) or just a shell? Thanks

Mike

Well, I imagine unless it states otherwise, that you'd be buying it as is, everything that's in the car when you sign the papers...

And get pictures of the car. Otherwise the motor could be all FUBAR'd and you'd be stuck buyint it anyways

Well I mean hit went head to head with a bus so the engine is more than likely shit. Any ballpark idea on the price. Its an 04 SRT with front end damage. So right now its between a parts car with no hope of engine swap or a sick ass nasty carbon fiber hood.

What good is an SRT without an engine? What are you looking for exactly?

I was gonna swap suspension, brakes, almost complete interior, sideskirts, and part the rest...but the garage I do it at isn't mine and my buddy is a pain in the ass about using his place so idk if i can even keep it there. Plus im in school right now so it would take super long to pull it apart. The carbon hood is seeming better and better...
