Cops make mistakes. Period. Its not because they are evil, its because they are human. The way you people talk, you make it sound like we should all be perfect robots. Dont try and tell me that YOU have never made mistakes, at work or in life in general. It happens. 99% of the encounters you all seem to have with the police have been a direct result of YOUR mistakes. Its not our fault you were driving like a jackass, and we caught you. So quit bitching about us doing our jobs.
I agree, there are some bad cops out there who make us all look bad. But they are few and far between. But like we all know, no one talks about the good experiences they may have with the police. Everyone likes to talk about the bad or wrong things that happen.
Cops dont know every car ever made, especially when they might only see the car for a faction of a second. Cops dont know everything there is to know in the world. We're just like everyone else, doing a job the best we can, and learning as much as we can. Its a job, we're not Gods, born into a position of power like some of you seem to make it out to be.
I applaud the OP, for seeing the big picture. He didnt bash on the cop, or the situation. He did and said what he needed to, and it worked out in the end.
To few of you, the attitude you clearly display in your posts is the same attitude that will get you the wrong kind of attention from police. Remember, what happens when you're pulled over talking to the cop as he makes contact after pulling you over, is largely defined by the attitude you have.
