hey crystal, yeah i was passing at hagelstein park, there was almost no one on the road, have you been getting pulled over a lot in town?? i have been pulled over 6 times in the last three months,no tickets or anything but they keep nailing me on the way home cause i go through down town to drop a coworker off that i car pull with a few times a week, ironically the same guy i was passing when i got pulled over lol,but i got pulled over three times in the first week of January. for suspicious behavior, wtf is that?? i get off work at 11 pm so just driving down town is suspicious?? it just seems to have gotten bad in the last few months.my brother gets pulled over all the time and he has a lifted ford F250,the last time he got pulled over was for doing 6mph over the speed limit in front of fredmeyers.wierd.ill postpone it for as long as i can and get a lawyer i guess,i don't want this on my record.

Um well actually, and I know I'm gonna jinx myself here, I've never been pulled over. I did get a careless driving ticket during my first accident at 17 but the officer did not show up to court so it was dropped. I certainly have given them reason by running no front plate (3 years now) and having the blue sidemarker lights but so far I have been lucky. Ben won't drive my car though for fear of a ticket even though he knows a lot of the county and state cops.

Good luck getting all this stuff taken care of.

haha i hate you,no front plate for three years?? i went about six months before i got pulled over four times for no front plate in abuut two weeks.the last time i got pulled over i was told put it on or else :cussing: i get pulled over alot.but most times i dont get ticketed, there is only one cop who has ever ticketed me the whole time i have been driving and its the same one who got me last week so i dont know why i get looked at so much and pulled over so much.it makes me mad that the kid with no insurance revving his engine at me at a stop light doesnt get pulled over but i do.and it happens over and over.by the same cops.over and over.

Haha yeah, at least three years. 9 months of that was also down in Sacramento living across from the police academy during their huge campaign against street racers. Everybody but me got pulled over as they were camped outside the WyoTech campus waiting. My luck will run out one of these days... Maybe they're noticing you more because you're a guy? After all, girls don't drive fast or do anything stupid. :tardbang: I got revved at by the silver civic dominos driver the other day in front of fred meyer. I just laughed at him and drove off, stupid kids.

I can honestly say most people will never see or have to deal with alot of the stuff police do. When was the last time you left your house wearing kevlar because there are people out there who would kill you just because of your job? What about telling a family their loved one was just killed? Make a decision that will forever change someone elses life?

For every stressor related to my job there is atleast just as many positives. I absolutely love my job and there is nothing i would rather be doing. Don't get me wrong, as I have said in the past I will not deny that some cops are assholes and go about the job wrong. All I would ever ask from the public is to not judge ALL cops on the actions of a FEW. I have had the oppurtunity to see first hand my actions changing someones opinion about police for the better and it was amazing to be able to do that.

To the OP, please excuse my rant. To everyone who said positive things, thank you, it's good to know there are some of you out there. To anyone offended by anything I've said I'm sorry, I'm very passionate about my job.

This will be my last post in any police related topics.

i appreciate what you are saying, and i do understand walking out the door and maybe not coming back,i for one come from a very violent background,on Christmas 2003 i had to shoot and wound my own father cause he was trying to kill my mom.and that is just one time,he is in prison for stabbing my mom on a separate occasion, and then waiting for me with a handgun to kill me.the cops got him 20 Min's before i would have shown up and most likely been shot and wounded,or killed.i have been held at gun point, and have had to deal with cops on a day to day bases.and i respect those who are in law enforcement.they go through a lot of shit.and i know this first hand, coming from the drug and alcohol abuse background that i have been seen.so yeah they get nothing but props, but it is the petty crap of just a few though that is what we hear about more often, and even you will have to admit that there are a few that should not be police officers.as there are in every group.so even though people shouldn't judge all based on the actions of a few.those few are there, and because of them there will always be a stigmata associated with the group as a whole.....

i am still annoyed with the three tickets though

^^Agreed...there is always one

There will be someone in every occupation that screws it for the rest of us.

For those of you who hate cops go live in a third world country and see how it is to not have any cops around.

Werd, I know exactly how that feels :D

Replace shoot with blow up with an ied / shoot / execute etc...

I have to admit I use to be the same as most people we run into on forums though... Always talking crap about cops because I got busted doing something stupid.

I haven't been pulled over since 05 (got arrested for speeding 10 over / no blinker when changing lanes)..... :laughing3:

as i have said before...

i was going 87 late for work in a 65 6am sunday morning
"do you know why i pulled you over"
"yes officer i was speeding because i was late for work (not that he cares but hey he did ask)"
ticket for 74/65 respected situation for both parties...

a week later, back to driving <65 in a 65mph zone..
"whats the hurry?"
"hurry? I have been in this lane my entire trip going 65"
"i clocked you at 92mph"
"no officer i was going 65 (not angry just stating a point, not being a dick, and REALLY not going over the limit)
"the trooper laughs and says ok this will only take a minute"
rights the ticket for a 92/65
and this is when i told him about the other silver sedan that passed my at ridiculous speeds...
"i am not going to argue with you"
understandable its not his place thats why we have courts

now thank god i know a state trooper fairly well..
he was kind enough to call the trooper who pulled me over (who conveniently enough is a junior to my friend by about 400 badges) and tell him what happened according to me... the trooper who pulled me over remembered me and said yes he was very respectful and adamant about the other car and that he would take care of the ticket... now what does that mean... who knows ill tell you in the next few weeks

but im just saying some cops are dicks, some are real down to earth, and some just plain make mistakes... but ill tell you what if you treat them with respect i bet they will give it right back to you
