Yeah, I'm sure you will. I pay $85/month for liability for my SXT. I have all the available discounts, multi line policy, married, etc.

You are 18 and it's one of the most wrecked cars ever.

Mine is fine, however my fiance has 2 accidents and that bumps it a little bit a month.

I'll have to shop around a little, we were in a hair of a rush to get this policy and we didn't get too indepth with searching. I'm signed on for 6 months.

I used to pay $500/year. Stupid having to get my own plan

SRT-4 Swap has always intrigued me, but I'd have to wait till I had my own place to work on the car. Which brings me to esteinmaier's kit. Is it worth to go that route? It seems he offers the kit fairly cheap (compared to the Hahns kit) and to get it tuned. Just curious because no one mentioned that route. That's going to be my "fail-safe" whenever I get around to turboing and I can't find a SRT-4 engine.

the thing about estienmaier is i live like five minutes away from him so tuning really isnt a problem, or if i have a problem he could help me out with the install or just regular maintaince i guess

Well shit, I'd be all over that kit. I mean, yea there's a lot of upgrades down the road for a 2.4L, but for under $4000 you could get the kit and tune. I don't know, it just seems that esteinmaier has proven a lot of things that people didn't know a 2.0L was capable of.

I just wanna see people's opinion between an SRT swap and esteinmaier's kit.

It's a coding thing... simply put, it just means "end of thread".

And that would probably be your best bet, to just save it right now.

Why am I one of the few people that agree with the resident old"er" guy

if I had 5k when I was 18 and spent it on my neon. i would have hated myself in a year.

I say drive your neon like it should be driven..stock, save your cash and prepare yourself for whatever you are doing post high school

that 5k will look a lot nicer on the credit side of your checkbook than in the engine bay of your neon

/\/\ thanks jim for your insight but first of all im 19 next month so im way out of high school

secondly i really love my neon but damn i wish this thing was faster and with me paying for everything on the car insurance on a srt4 would be rediculous because i got in a accident with some chick from wisconsin....

a new idea that just popped into my head.. keep the neon as DD and go out and by a bike

idk idea flowing through my mind... the thing that f*cked me over was i drove in estienmaier turbocharged neon se... all i can say is sick and now i know the potential my car has i want that

decisioins decisions...

Turns out I was overquoted. So we are at $166 a month for the Neon (liability) and the Jeep (liability/comp/col). I am very happy now.

save up more, turbo your car, and then save the rest. our engines can handle enough power stock that you will be happy with
