So yesterday, my friend picked up a 08 Scion TC. Got rid of her 00 Pontiac Sunfire. Good car for her. Im happy for her since its a decent car. But my other friend who dates her, I think got in a jealous mood and a power trip. He already has two cars. 1. Honda Prelude that he puts stuff in 2. Suzuki Forenza. Decides to look at this 01 mustang gt in mass this coming friday but sees one locally today at a dealership. Its an 05 for 10K. Just went in and financed it right away. Im like wahh......ur girlfriend just got a new car yesterday and you gotta be a dick and one up her Makes me wanna just say F*CK IT and go get my SRT4. haha. If I didn't play tournament paintball and drop about $400 a month on that I could afford the car I wanted. Man, choices choices choices. Anyways, just felt like I wanted to share the story. He is coming to get me in the Mustang right now so we can drive back to the dealership and pick up his other car to bring home as well. I'll try to snap a couple pics. I dont know if i should be happy for him or be like "you douche bag"

I dunno what's worse... that he's a dick, or that she's stupid enough to date someone so insecure and insensitive.

I dont know if he is just on a power trip or what. Like he talked about improving his prelude this summer and stuff. but then she NEEDED a new car so she got the TC. IMO its better that the Lude so maybe thats why he went out of his way to get this car. IDK. but they are both nice cars regardless. they are both my friends so you win some you lose some i guess

So based on price he got a v6 and not a GT?

OMFG they ALL do it, we have a guy around here we call GTV6. He takes it to shows everywhere and has convinced innocent moronic people that it is the ONLY V6 GT that Ford ever produced that made it to the roads. The others were all prototypes.....

i went and checked out her TC tonight and was like. the mustang is nice but i'd rather take this TC and just add stuff to it. lol.

I say fail...your friend is impulsive and he deserves the v6 because he could have gotten a good deal on a gt of some sort and been much happier. Plus just to go out and buy a new car because your GF got a new one isn't very smart. Just imagine later on down the road....

As for the paintball if you play tourney ball you should at least be sponsored. I played for Warped Sportz for 4 years and never paid a dime, though it was a semi-pro team. I say get a sponsor and then get your SRT and have both.

While the 4.0l V6 is a good engine, its hard to build.

I loved my 3.8l pushrod, split port V6 mustang. With the 5spd, it was faster than my neon.

*sigh* I miss that car. I still have the 4.2l V6 long block from an F150 in the garage that I was going to build as a low comp engine. Procharger + split port V6 = faster than a GT and less nose weight.
