Thinking of a project car

I am a Mopar or No Car kinda guy.

I am looking for a cheap car, I would l,ike it in the 70's if I can, to work on. I will be looking at only spending about $1,000 for it and would like VERY little rust if possible only surface kinda stuff. Wondering what you guys can find. AND near me cause I really can't go to far. So like day trips, 300 miles is pushing it. I live inb area code 55305.

I will not have much money or don't have it right now. Just looking at my options and CarSoup has not helpped me that well. Anyways, what do you guys think would be a fun car to work on?

if you want a cheap fun car that has alot of bang for the buck....old dodge shadows....the car the neon replaced =P. They came in a 4cyl turbo, 4cycl non turbo, 3.0L v6....i personally had the v6 5spd shadow....picked her up for a grand for my first car...and man did that thing have some balls...i gutted mine and put 2.5 inch piping a apexi n1 muffler on it and a open air filter...she screamed...

Where can I find one, I would like a turbo one then but I can't find one in CarSoup or Ebay

I think I might get a Spirit R/T. I think I will save for one but think that will also be a nice project car.

the turbo shadow's are gettin more and more rare but you can find the v6 shadow's all over this area...i know that doesn't help you but i'm sure you can find one for real cheap....spirit r/ts are real freaking rare around this area...i think i've only ever seen one...ever lol

i found one near me so I am excited I think I mgiht borrow some money from a friend to get it

oh you guys cant get rid of me that easily...i still like neons alot, its just time to move on i think, for me at least....so ill still be around commenting and such

i was thinking about saying that. like i was goign tosay buy a CRX Si gutt it swap a LS in there put a sc61 on there and it would be a beast. but i would try to go after a shadow or spirint R/T. i remeber seeing a site on a guy turboing one or something.

yea serioulsy though...since you say 'mopar or no car'....ive always heard shadows were sleepers or whatever, a guy i used to be friends w/ had one, i used toalways see him haulin butt around town lol

Yeah, Man that would be nice. The guy wants 2500 I think it is too much......I MISS MY 2G!!! I was thinking of asking if people would trade a 2G R/T for a 1G R/T
