Besides the list of faithful neon drivers, we also need a memorial list of cars which already passed on and once every year we honour them not by keeping silent for a minute, but honk continuously for a minute :P

I'd hate for my horn to destroy itself and then kill the car...

If so, I should be the leader. I bring one back at least once a month (during the summer) and my black car has been in 3 fender benders, 3 transmissions, and 7 engines since I got it.

Although it's been sitting for over a year as I got sick of putting in junkyard engines and the next time it drives it won't have another $100 U-Pull-it-install-it-drive-it-2-months-till-it-blows-up engine in it.

Nothing wrong with running mid-high 14's with a rod-knocking 2.4 you paid $100 for though. Well, not until you tow it home.

#67 reporting for roll call...but maybe not much longer. I keep bouncing between getting a used WRX or a used BMW 3 series sedan...

As much as I would like to keep my NEON and get another car and go full on project car with the NEON, I dont have room for 3 cars (wife has a vehicle too) and wont have and money left to put into the NEON. Plus I am to the point where the upgrades are no longer cheap and I want to do it right and that costs $$$ lots of $$$$! It would be cheaper and easier to just get a car with more performance instead of sinking more money into my lil NEON, even though I love it so.

So I can either keep the NEON and slowly build on it when $$$ becomes available or I can trade it in, sell off my extra parts, and start off with something that has a lot more potential and start to slowly build that up...

found a low mileage 2005 wrx that just got traded in locally. Good price too...because it is a salvage title...so I got the bank checking to see if they will finance me on the WRX. I should hear back tomorrow. Then I have to go look at the car (getting a new clutch) and see what kind of shape it is in. Then we have to come to an agreement on a price and then they have to give me a fair trade on the NEON (I stilll owe 2500 on it) ...so there are a lot of "what ifs" I tried this once before on an 05 WRX and the dealer wouldn't come down to a reasonable price. Guess we will have to see what happens this time.

What I really need to do is STOP LOOKING FOR OTHER CARS!

It's kinda like being married. I have no interest in leaving my wife, but sometimes something real purdy walks by and I sneak a peak...except the NEON wont chop my balls off if I trade it in...

I want to join this. I duped myself into getting a retarded interest rate on a retarded loan amount that I am going to be paying for for a while... so I sorta kinda need to keep my Neon for a long time, most likely till it dies. I don't want to deal with having another car payment, ever. Plus, for an '05, my car only has ~45,000 miles thanks to 14 total months of combat deployments and my car sitting un-driven :)
