I hate people like that.. Glad to hear that your car wasn't damaged!
At my old school (Lincoln tech in Columbia, MD) there was kids that would play football in the parking lot and they sucked at it (the reason why they were in auto tech school and not playing football in college) and i sat there in my car and the football would be overthrown by a Tom Brady wanna be and it would hit my car.. They never apologized or anything for it.
Now my car looks like crap because of the many dents in it..
It just amazes me how ignorant people can be. But i just have to make the best out of everything and realize that they wont make it in life when they have to "grow up".

Back in 2000, I was at the management office for an apartment complex on the east side, asking when the unit that I had put a deposit on a few weeks earlier would be ready. While I was waiting in the manager's office, I looked through the window and saw a grade school-aged kid purposely throw a basketball full-force at the windshield of my 1GN. Needless to say, I got my deposit back (had to go to small claims court!).
Washed the car today and noticed that someone has swiped both passenger-side valve stem caps from my car!

oh idiots! I hate people who have no respect! at least come up with an apology! don't deflect the blame on your biased sense of quality. people need to be considerate of the things that are important to others. So what if it's a neon- it's someone else's car! i feel for you dude

my post from the random post thread
MoxHair wrote:I went to breakfast yesterday morning and when I was walking back out to my car I watched an old man open the door of his Honda Accord right into my passanger side rear door. I ran over to the car and his door was still resting again mine with a huge white mark and a dent at the very bottom of my door.
My car is over a year old and was in perfect condition. Not a single dent or scratch. So I was pissed. The confrontation went like this
me: Hey! You just dented my door.
Old Dude: Nope, That was already there.
Me: My car is garaged and I came from my garage to here and My car had zero dents. PLUS your door is resting against my car still and I just saw you do it.
Old Dude: Nope. You are mistaken.
Me: Listen you stupid piece of shit. You're going to pay for the damage to my car that you caused!
old dude: Go fuck yourself Kid. I didn't do it and You can't prove I did.
at this moment the dude started to walk away from me. I started yelling across the parking lot
Me: You better get back here you ignorant dumb fuck! You're going to pay for this.
I called the police and they basically told me that parking lot damage wasn't their concern and that it would be "awhile" before they would even respond to a call like this. I didn't give them any details since they were being asshole-ish to me.
I didn't want to call my insurance company since its less damage than my $250 deductable and i really don't want my insurance premium to increase.
So I stood with my back to his car and did a back kick into his driver's side door as hard as I could. Creasing the center of the door. I'd actually be surprised if he could get his window down.
Mother Fucker.

"Just a neon" What a bitch, its a neon that you have put a lot of time, money, and work into. Some people will never get it.

you should put a dent in her head like mox did to that guys car, then maybe if she has any brains she'll understand its more than a neon

That sucks. Next time you see her playing in the road just hit her with the car, obviously she's just a girl, so it won't matter.
Hell yeah, Mox! I would have done the same thing. I hate people that do anything to get out of trouble.

If it had been me, i would have taken their ball and popped it with a knife and then threw it back at them, either that or, i would have just taken it away.

Man that sucks, I hate how ignorant people can be to other people's posseesion just because it isn't theirs. They just simply think, oh well, it's someone else's problem now, not mines...and show no signs of apology.

I feel you there. My fiancee and I go camp at Texas Renaissance Festival a few times every year, well there were some people last year trying to impress others by fireblowing right next to my car in our camp site. I politely ask them not to do it near my car because I don't want anything to happen to it. They say nothing will happen and keep doing it. I ended up having to ask them like 5 times to get away from my car with whatever they were taking swigs of because quite frankly I didn't want them lighting any part of my car up.
The correct response would have been "OK, we'll go over there" when I asked the first time, not their drunk asses telling me that whatever they're using isn't going to hurt my car.

Ok.. So what kind of action should one take if something like that happens? Someone dings your door right in front of you.. Does it depend on what property you are on? What options do you have?
I mean its obviously there fault. They made the mistake and should pay for it all.
Thats messed up that people get away with shit like that.

It would be a matter at that point for either civil court or insurance companies since it was on private property. Had he been hit on a road or the public easement, then he would have been able to get a police report and been able to just deal directly with the other person's insurance to fix it.

Gotta expect to get dings when you use your car... because there will always be others who care less than you do.
I try to be careful where I park... will park further away from the entrance to avoid the ding zone if I can.
I'm not always lucky... last winter in the parking lot someone put some nice creases on the passenger door. It was either the snow removal crew or another vehicle the slide into my car.
I was pissed... but what ya gonna do short of leaving it parked in a single car garage ALL the time?

I would have grabbed the ball from the girl and drop kicked it. I have had this problem before. I had just had my wifes SUV repainted and was taking her to the store. I parked next to a peice of shit Crown Vic. She went in the store and I stayed in the truck. I was just dazing off into space when I heard a bang from the passenger side. The big monster of a woman that owned the Crown Vic had opened her back door into mine. I jumped out and started freaking out on the women and told her the paint was 3 days old. All she could say was that my tires were nice. I looked at what she did and there was 0 damage on my truck. I am extremely picky with my cars and almost lost it with her. I am glad for her sake that I looked before I leapt.

Exactly... Thats why I park on one side that gets no people traffic at all..
today before work I was chillen in my car when a early 90's Silverado parked next to me. Some haggard guy smoking a cigarette (yuck) parked pretty close to me... So I just wainted until he got out. He could see me, but I was keeping my eye on him. He rolls down his window, puts his nasty hairy arm out and flicks the ashes near my car about 3 times. Just shake my head in

. He then rolls up his window and get sout of his truck... He was a smaller guy and he didn't hit my car but I was making sure of that... Arghhh

I'm very careful about my car and go as far as to take pictures when I see something as well as the license plates.
These were just from last year...I don't know how they got out but none of them damaged my car so I was very happy but very upset as well.

If anyone ever hit my car with a basketball or anything else, and they told me to chill out, I'd get out and teach them some manners.

One time, when I was 17, my mom asked me to go to the store for her to pick a few things up. At this time my '57 was my only vehicle and daily driver. It was also still brown and oxidized, and had a generally shit paint job. I didnt care, it was still MY '57 Chevy.
So I come out of the store, and watch some guy slam his car door into my truck. I run up, and say;
Me: "Hey, you just threw your door open into my truck!"
Him: *looking at my truck* "Its OK, your truck looks like shit anyway."
He then proceeded to walk into the store I just came out of. I only saw red. I put my moms stuff on the seat and took out a 4' crow bar that I kept behind my seat in the truck.
I scratched "F U" into his hood, and shoved that crow bar through his radiator and A/C condensor. His car pissed coolant and refrigerant across the parking lot.
I felt better. Then I left. I kinda wish I could have seen his reaction to seeing all of that. I was a little extreme, but Karma is a bitch. I dont feel bad about it at all.
For Mox: This was at the Luckys/SaveMart/99cent store parking lot. Im sure you remember those douche bags. I dont even know why I went. The old SaveMart was always so much better.

reminds me of the time when i actually had my neon on air bags.
I parked the car and dropped it to the ground in the lot of walgreens. when i came out, some big ass van parked next to me at an angle, where the back end of it was almost touching my neon.
and then when i got close to my door, i saw a dent from where they swung their door open.... so, i calmly dragged my key across the entire side of their POS. (it was in some-what bad shape so they probably never noticed.) Funny thing is, someone was in the back but never said a word.
I then spent a good ten minutes going back and forth trying to get my car out. After I finally managed, the owner just so happens to come out right when i'm ready to drive off. I then proceed to cuss him out.... quite a lot actually. He started yelling back in some other language (not sure what he was... kinda arab looking?) i tossed my pop at him and sped off.
Later that night at a strip club 2 hours away, my car was broken into and stereo stolen

Apparently karam came back to bite me in the ass a bit from that.

That is probably the WORST parking lot in Atwater. The only reason to ever go in that parking lot is for the Sub Shop. The old Save Mart on the corner of Shaffer and Bellvue was so much better. My father worked for Save Mart for over 15 years and we were really attached to that store. I was really sad to see it gone when I went back there in October.

You're not lying. With the straight parking spots and people in general. The Sub Shop is good, but I dont even go there very often anymore. I too miss the old store. I grew up going there. The new one behind Snappy's just isnt the same.
You should hit me up next time you come out here.

I know how you feel fuzzy neon,
Last spring my sister backed into me and said oh its not bad its just a car. She chipped the paint on the front bumper and made the paint crack throughout.
I flipped on her told her she has to pay to fix it! Her argument was that she was family and didn't have to pay for the damage!
She has yet to pay and the car has yet to be fixed.
but i get karma got her too:
http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y221/k ... 110072.jpg
she hit a huge yellow metal gate in a parking lot that was right in front of her. The gate was right in front of her before she even put the car into drive.
