I had this discussion at work the other day. It was pretty interesting to hear what some people's favorite songs were and some of the reasons behind it.
I'm an odd character and I probably listen to music that not a lot of people on here listen to so I'll start
"Blue Sky" ~ Dynamite Hack
"Fake Sounds of San Francisco" ~ Arctic Monkeys
"Back Stabbin' Betty" ~ Cage the Elephant
"Last Summer" ~ Lostprophets
"California on my Mind" ~ Wild Light

hey, it's my taste of music

Just couldn't figure out if you were serious or not. I expect some people to list music like Cher or whatever. Yea, its your taste, but if you look at it from someone who doesn't know you it could be taken as a joke. I was not and am not poking fun at your taste in music. Like I said in my first post it's really interesting what people my age listen to.
My brother who is 27 listens to nothing but CCR, Johnny Cash, and the oldies station. I drove with him one time and I was ready to jump out of the moving car.

haha. I listen to CCR myself. Not too huge on Johnny Cash, but I am glad you mentioned Lost Prophets, because I honestly forgot all about them.

Whats wrong with CCR and the Cash Man? Ive spent WAY too much money buying pretty much all of their box sets, and always have one or two CDs on deck.
Im 27 too. heh.

I honestly cannot stand CCR or Johnny Cash.. Makes my skin crawl. Blood pressure goes through the room and I nearly go into "Mox Smash!" mode. Just not my style of music and it extremely irritates me.
Lostprophets was one of my favorite bands when "thefakesoundofprogress" came out, "Start Something" was also a really good album, They were amazing Live... but their last disc "Liberation Transmission" was terrible, so I've kind of stopped listening to them.
It was almost as bad as Black Light Burns' second album "Cover Your Heart." I wanted to take a shit on that CD and mail it back to Wes Borland.

Nah, Juniper is just the start. You gotta see all the new Shaffer Lakes houses, new gated houses by the CHP office, and everything in between. And 5 corners is still an awsome place to get attention. lol.
Ugh, I still cant believe there is someone here who has even heard of Atwater, let alone lived here.

Fort Minor: High Road
Stereophonics: Maybe Tomorrow
Chevelle: I Get It

I was back there in October, I was shocked at how much it has changed since the last time I was back there in July of 2005. I love that there is a Carl's Jr. in Atwater now. I miss CJs and In and Out Burger

I haven't listened to the Bosstones in forever.

Tell me about it. Tractor Supply is nice to have, dont have to go to Merced every time you need a bolt or something stupid.
CJ's, cant go wrong. And there is nothing like In-n-out. I just had that yesterday. Nothing like a nice Double Double with grilled onions, and Animal fries. (Im going to die atleast a day or two sooner now, because of that meal.)
Though, I do miss White Castle in Indiana.

I'll agree with you. sometimes though 1 song can turn album from ok to awesome, or it can just completely ruin the album.

I agree about being more of an album guy. Not 100%, but generally.
Not my top 5 all time, but my top 5 this month at least. If this isn't a strange mix I don't know what is.
1. Wilknots - Vertigo
2. Lil Wayne - Brand New
3. With Passion - Darkness Doth Bring Mortality
4. Between the Buried and Me - Mordecai
5. R Kelly - Remix to Ignition
Those are off the top of my head, and are on the same level with 1000 other 'top' songs I have. I could go on all day.

Totally agree with the album thing.
It constantly changes, but as of this moment:
Norma Jean: Robots 3 Humans 0
City and Colour: Sometimes
City and Colour: Sam Malone (both fast and slow versions)
At All Cost: Death to Distraction
Ruiner: Bottom Line: Fuck You

'16.12' - mono
'starscapes' - the american dollar
'circle the sky' - mychildrenmybride
'suicide season' - bring me the horizon
'faith or forgiveness' - the ghost inside
except for 16.12, the other 4 are always rotating. no song will ever replace 16.12

Like most of you, I don't know if I could ever actually narrow it down to my top 5 favorites of all time, but here's what comes to mind right now for more modern stuff...
1. Brand New - The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows
2. Foo Fighters - Hero
3. Radiohead - Paranoid Android
4. Silversun Pickups - Panic Switch
5. Chiodos - All Neroids Beware
But ask again tomorrow and that would probably be a different list.

The Silversun Pickups album is actually pretty good, I was surprised.
