What to do....input mebbe?

Well lately me and a friend of mine have been offroading a bit lately and its got me hooked. Ive thought about modding my car but there just isnt anything it really needs done. Im wanting to buy a Jeep Cherokee 4wd 4.0L for about 300-600 and then lift it 3 inches and put on decent tires. Right now Ive got 600 dollars and my dad said that he'd pay for tags/insurance and whatever parts it may need. So the gist of this is should I spend my money on the SRT or buy a Cherokee so then Ill have a fun offroad toy and even a DD when the weather gets bad. Ill be saving my money in the mean time until I find a Jeep or find out what I should do to my car. I just cant go without tinkerin with somethin for too long. Its like an addiction lol. So what do yall think?

I'd get the Jeep. At least that way if your srt breaks down or the weather is bad you've got a backup plus they're fun as heck.

Didn't you have a truck a couple months ago that you could've romped on?
Go for the jeep. They are freaking awesome to off-road with.

Ive still got my 4wd D150 but it needs about 200 dollars of machine work on the front end, 35 or bigger tires and then all its good for is mud. I wanna be able to flex out and cross ditches and do hill climbs and trailrides. My truck is far too nice, too stiff and way too tall. The Sami would be cool though I want a 4 door SUV and a Mopar lol. Thanks so far for the input.
