Look up the junk yards in Rancho Cordova. There is a yard for every manufacture there.

They arent pick-n-pull yards. Most dont allow people to walk though the yards by yourself, but they are manufacturer specific. I bought a lot of mustang parts up there back in the day. I havent been up there in a long time, but there is a whole street that is nothing but yards.

Heres the number I found for the chrysler/dodge specific one; (800)636-7273

ya the pick and pull is nice in that you can walk around. but they don't really have any good cars there.. but ill have to check those yards out.. but an entire street of yards sounds like a good day =]

alright been gone in cali for hella long. and finally back in Memphis. went to the yard today and it was awesome.. they had a bunch of neons sitting there.. i got a broken throttle body for free so i can do the half shaft mod. but downside there was no manual trannies..=[ but there was some pts there and plenty of parts for the trucks and such transfer cases rear ends bunch of stuff. is there anything i can pull from the other Chrysler models? oh and also there was an aluminum 1gn intake there the guy said 75 is that a good price? or is that too much?

by hybrid-Srt2001
i paid 40 for my alum intake. why swap it in, its heavier and flows worse. (unless you are boosted and port it of course)

An aluminum intake is only useful for making box intakes. Even porting it wont flow as well as a stock plastic intake mani.

$75 is too much. Also, PT cruiser manula transmissions will work in 2gn's, straight swap in.

ya i felt like the 75 was too much too. but i wanted to do an intake like amm a kind of gb but better.. and possibly/probably port it. but really? is that the 3.55 or 3.95? or is there both and how can i distinguish between the two? and would i be able to grab the computer from that too or would i have to still get an 03+ one?

Posted: Mon Aug 24, 2009 9:04 pm
by hybrid-Srt2001
3.94 will be in a dual cam car if a 1gn. and a 2gn will have the mag intake if its a 3.94

Posted: Mon Aug 24, 2009 9:13 pm
by blueneo03
ya but invujerry was sayin that the pt trannies would work if a 5 speed. are those the 3.55 and 3.95?

Posted: Mon Aug 24, 2009 9:40 pm
by hybrid-Srt2001
01 pt manual is a 3.94

Posted: Mon Aug 24, 2009 9:50 pm
by blueneo03
that the only one? and good to know. and the 3.94 is better for just motor cars and the 3.55 is better for the turbo right?

Posted: Mon Aug 24, 2009 10:17 pm
by INVUJerry
The 3.94 can be used in both. Any PT cruiser with the N/A 2.4 motor will have a 3.94 with a .72 5th gear. The turbo ones were different. Really with a turbo car it's all preference. People say the 3.55 is better with boost, since 3.94 gears can get too short, but if you're using slicks on a track, it's not a problem.
