Looks like all the dealers close to me made it out alright, aside from a small one about 25 minutes away.

Looks like both of them here in Greenville are staying open. BRR looks safe from what I saw... not sure the name of the dealer Danteneon works at to look it up...

As far as I know it's something with Manassas in the name, and I don't see it on the list

One dealer here in Indy that screwed me over back in the 90's is on the list, as well as the little dealership in Logansport that had the red SRT that I tried to help get sold back in '07. The salesman at that dealership gave me a 1GN "Neon" neon sign for my efforts. Really bad news on allpar.com that some of these dealerships may decide to sell Chinese or Indian vehicles when they are available.

Benson is on there, thats where I buy alot of parts because it is close to my work, like 2 minutes.
But, it says that the address is in Iowa. Google search did not turn up anything on a Benson in Indiana. I need to look at the dealer code on my invoice to be sure.
I do know that the owner is local to us. Saw him in the parking lot the other day. Him and his wife have designated parking there
EDIT: Just found it, there is a Benson in Iowa

The world just keeps getting better and better... Is 2012 here yet to do us all in? Hopefully something good comes from all of this somehow.

So... what happens to all the inventory at these places? They ship it out to a giant warehouse or do they go to the ones nearby that are still open?
Olathe Dodge by me is ranked up there on sales in the USA. Its staying. Different story for Keystone Chrysler in Mission.
Also, does anyone knows what the situation with Chrysler is right now? Did Fiat buy some of Chrysler? I know the govt owns some of it correct? Whats the low-down?

There are two by me that are closing. It will now make it more difficult to get parts local.
Thankfully Tata's won't pass fedreal requirement to be sold in this country. Yet. I'm sure our standards will fall, so we too can drive deathtraps!
I sure hope that Mr. and Mrs. Danteneon can keep their jobs.
My job also hangs by a thread. We will all have to form a neon commune to get by.
we're fucked.

Well Ringgold Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep (15 minutes from me) is not getting axed. I think it has something to do with the fact that they are the #1 Viper dealership in the country

. BUT Courtesy Dodge in Dalton (5 minutes from where I work and we have an account with them so I can gets mah parts fo' cheap) is closing. Which sucks ass for me and another guy I work with (he drives a 2004 Ram 3500 and currently needs about $1000 worth of parts lol). Damn this sucks.

56 in PA alone. 5 of them are little local dealers. There is one in my hometown that has been there since forever. Like 4 or 5 generations. They prolly don't sell too many cars anyway. It's a bit beat up of a showroom but it's there for nostalgia. I am sure there are people that have bought all of their cars from them and had them serviced there as well. I remember seeing my first new 1998 intense blue ACR coupe there.

What is particularly bad right now is that I don't know where they are all going to go... not like there are enough other dealerships left where they can all get jobs.
GM is talking about dropping 40% of their ~6000 dealers.

Some of the dealers around here are going to attempt to remain open, even if it means selling/servicing only used cars.

Yes, that would be quite terrible.
Bleh, those and smart cars...
The dealerships in my area seem to be safe

Due to congestion... scooters and small motorcycles are very popular over in India.
The wife usually rides side-saddle on the back while holding on to the baby on her lap.
Traffic is crazy over there.
