One of my co-workers has a problem with her radio. She asked if me and another co-worker of mine new anything about cars the other guy didn't but im a little knowledgeable, but I didn't seem to get this. She said that her car was hit and they had to replace the whole front. Before, she was hit by the guy, she said the radio worked perfectly normal. After she was hit and took it to a shop to get it fixed she said the radio doesn't work anymore. Does anybody know how this could happen? What they might of done? Is it fixable? I suggested taking it back to the shop

I suggest taking it back to the shop and letting them handle it, sounds like something harness related.

does it power up? if not check the fuse. Hell check the fuse anyways I know some cars have 2 different power sources for the radio. One for the radio one for the clock. Don't ask.

Get behind the dash make sure everything is connected as well as check the fuses...but I would go to the shop first and let them deal with it.

Is it working but not playing? It might need a code punched into it to make it work. Unless the whole radio is pooched then it's an expensive replacement. It's not cheap and easy to replace RSX radios if you have the Bose system. You have to rip out a whole bunch of stuff and replace/work around a bunch of stuff.

Did they install a new PCM or anything of that sort? Might be a programming issue. Some newer cars have security measures designed to prevent radio theft. Otherwise, check for power & ground and diagnose it normally.

Tell her to take it back to the shop that fixed it they should fix it. We do it all the time. Honda and Acura is famous for that. If they wont check the radio fuse if not you will need to pull out the radio and get the serial numbers off the back. You may be able to call Acura and give them the VIN and they could give it to you. Check the owners manual and see if they put it in there. Good Luck!!

I told her it might of been a fuse ( i did try to get her number cause she is frigun banging! ) anyways I told her to just bring it back to the shop It seems like the simplest way here. and nothing new was installed just the bumper and hood and head lights
