Yeah, I still live at my parents house. I’m 20 and right now I really can't move out on my own. I was going to get a place with 2 of my friends, but they decided to serve our country instead (which I have no problem with that, they are doing a great thing!).

So I figured.. living in the basement wont be too bad. But I also realized that the basement is unfinished, no real ceiling, cinderblock walls, concrete floor.. Great...

Then later tonight I was on facebook and put "moving to the basement" as my status.. a minute later facebook told me I had a notification. I checked and FUZZY commented on my status.

That is when all the stars aligned. I read what he wrote and it all made too much sense!

Fuzzy wrote "MANCAVE BEGIN!!"

Since this will be my first man cave. I need some ideas. I’m going to build my own bar down there. Get a dartboard and hang up some of my nascar and football stuff on the walls. I have a nice TV and NFL network. A few couches and a recliner.

Any other ideas would be great to add on to my man cave list!

If I remember from the last time I was in Hot Topic you could just take the actual hot ass bitches from the store

In my house i live in the basement cause there's much more room down here. My living room is 13X21 same with the bedroom. If you got the money you can probably fix it up a bit. I had concrete floor down here but just put down about 500 sq feet of stick on tile. It makes a big difference and looks good.

go to a furniture store and get one of those movie theatre chairs the ones with like 3 attached that have cupholders and everything.
If you have some more money you should set up a projector. Even if you have a nice tv right now i'm sure it's probably not more than 50 inches. I saw this one guy with a 100" tv in his basement and it wat tits. The picture quality was great too and you're in the basement so you can watch it all day long cause it's nice and dark.

But yeah those are just some of my ideas.

Sounds good, im on a little budget.

But yeah, the hotass girl posters for sure!

But yeah, i got 2 couches down there, i have a minifridge already. Awesome computer (fuzzy knows how nice my computer is). HDTV with a DVR. Xbox 360 hooked up to wireless internet so you can play drunken COD modern warfare online

I have a real nice pool table, but that’s in the garage.. The table top is too heavy to even try and bring it down the wooden stairs! hahaha.

But yeah, i can't wait to being construction on this mancave!

Im thinking of either having surround sound for the tv or get a sound system for music around the basement.. Not sure which yet.

Ok, im in a bind right now..

So the electrical box is all used up, and so now the basement needs a box for extra electricity.. Apparently this will be somewhat of an issue. So I might be in my room for a bit longer.

If this happens, my mancave is turning into a manroom

My buddy said I have to tear out one of my closets (its got a lot of crap and shelves in it) and we will build the bar so there is walking room in the closet and put the minifridge inside..

This might work.. Because i already have the couch, computer, tv, video system, and minifridge in the room already. I have a few hot girls on the wall.. But the g/f took down the nudies

Ill keep everyone updated and once this thing is complete, ill post pictures!

Yeah, the panel box thing is a big issue. But honestly you probably don't need more than one or two breakers.

Do you have a 100A service or a 200A service? I can probably guide you through the electrical stuff.

DO NOT DO ANY ELECTRICAL WORK WITHOUT A PERMIT. My department knows the inspectors for Frederick City and County (don't know which you are in) personally. But if you do get popped for it, send me a PM and we can get it all certified.

Well like I said in the OP, I was going to move out with a few buddies but they are going to the service for a bit.

Once they get back, I figured we can get a place and by that time. I already have all the good stuff (i.e.: sound system, bar, and others) for the new place.

Besides, I’m still paying for school, car payments (2 more payments and I’m done!!), and health insurance, so money isn't stuffed in my wallet right now.

No, they wont care.. They bought me condoms the other day. Besides.. When i was in 9th grade my mom told me "if you are going to smoke pot or do drugs, don’t do them anywhere but our house so you don‘t get in trouble".. I was kinda surprised that she told me that.. Kinda more awkward because it made me wonder why my mom thought i was doing drugs??? hahaha

Don't get me wrong, my parents are "parents" but they are also like friends the way they are.

I would not brag about the above to much online

My parents say the same thing I live by two rules in my house:

1.) Don't come home with an STD
2.) Don't come home with a Cop

Other then that it's all good...so your parents are just as chill

my parents also always have been cool about most of the above.

They always let me know to not get in trouble etc.

But to burn1 no they never told me that.

There has been a 4 hour long program on history that porved, When you allow your kids to do some of the above ((WITH LIMITS)) it's alot better then learning it from the streets.
