You were at IFO? I was there, too. We should have met up.

I met up with Jess to buy some springs from her right when she got there.

Nice meeting you, Jess!

I was there too, perhaps you saw me break my axle on my first launch. It was quite pleasant.

I saw 01rtgurl cruising through the pits in the Miata as I was sitting in my broked car on the phone with AAA. Car looked awesome!

What gave you that idea? lol

Yeah, broke my second passenger side axle in just over a month. First axle was the OEM axle and had probably around 20 or so launches on it with slicks and some with a 2 step. I replaced it with an ebay axle (no parts stores could get one, couldn't find used, didn't want to pay Modern or dealer price) and yesterday was the first time at the track since replacing the axle and it was a clean break on the first launch, didn't move an inch.

Haha, not talking bad, I just preferred to pay $80 to get my car drivable again instead of $180.

I still love Modern!

Just messing around because it seems Modern can do no wrong. Even when they charge $27 for 3 qts of ATF+4.

When I was launching on slicks my friend said dump it from 5k. If an axle breaks I'll replace it.

Once you've replaced the first axle, you see where you can make it easier and do it quicker the next time. It's a pretty easy job.
