Josh, everything couldn't have happened at a better time. I drove over 1300 miles up through NY (Baltimore - Jamestown - Buffalo - Geneseo - Rochester - Syracuse - Ogdensburg - Baltimore) so I had a lot of time to think about everything.

In the end we are talking about a 24 year old car that could break because of age. If this were to happen, I don't have the facilities to handle that at my house so it would have to be towed up to my dads. Sitting is worse for a car than driving so I wouldn't want it to sit longer than it has, it has survived very well over the last nearly 6 years. It was lucky to have a driveway to sit on the entire time rather than grass.

My dad's neighbor is currently looking for a project car. He has the time to put into this car. I would rather see the car get what it needs rather that sitting and wasting away.

It was definitely a hard decision to come by, not so much because I like the style of car but because Jessica and I spent the first couple years dating in that car. Trust me I wish I had the time. Maybe I will be able to find a nice 4th Gen SS that the body is good and I only need to do stuff with the drivetrain.

Man, now Canada is the mean mod. I want my title back

And a Turbo Caravan isn't gonna happen. It would be a cool car, but I'm not a huge fan of used turbo cars.

I think you should do whatever you want to do that makes you and Jess happy, aslong as you can reasonably afford it.

As far as kids at the track, I am gonna guess that Sean was never taken to the track as a child, nor is he quite as much of a motorhead as some of us (No offense intended budster :) ) However, when my brother and I were both younger, my father took us to the strip and the road course and we had amazing times together. Its part of what made us a family, its always brings back fond memories, its gotten me involved in cars, and its something we still enjoy doing as a family. Most tracks are so incredibly safe now, its not a worry. Slap in some earplugs and earmuffs and go watch racing!

Do it Frank ;)
None taken, however I was taken to the track as a child, and saw how much trouble I got myself into. Hence my thoughts that kids should not be at the track...

Trust me I thought about it alot because of the desire to keep the car. I was probably in the car for 24 hours or so over those 3 days.
