tips on 06 sentra brakes...

so me and my girlfriend decided that instead of paying 310 dollars to get her front brake pads and rotors changed, we'd give it a shot at doing it ourselves , seeing as the rotors and pads only cost her 95 dollars
ive done rotors and pads on my neon so i figured it wouldnt be so bad but i was wrong
so we got the pass side wheel off, took off the caliper, pads and caliper bracket but now we cant get off the rotor
there are no set screws or clamps or anything that we can see, and according to my google searches, it should just pull off, but the car has 46k miles on it and original brakes, so its giving us a struggle
any tips, hints or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
thanks guys[/u]

If it's rusted on, how about beating on it with a hammer? You're not reusing the rotors, are you?

BFH is your friend. Big Fucking hammer! Even after 46k, rotors will seize to hubs especially up north where we are. I just hit the rotor directly with it, but you could always use a block of wood to disperse the impact as well.
Don't get too crazy though, you don't want to destroy your wheel bearings.

yeah i tried a hammer but i didnt want the car to fall on me
im gonna try so dw40 tomarrow or something
but no, we have no plans on reusing the rotors

-Put one of the lug nuts back on and screw it all the way into the rotor so it's tight.
-Smack rotor with a hammer on the opposite side - right on the edge.
Might take a couple times to get the right hit but after a couple hits it should pop right off.

tried hitting it going clockwise as i read online
and i realized what you meant with the block of wood, and im using a rubber mallet
im gonna try the lug nut thing tomarrow and upgrade to a bigger hammer
worst case scenario you guys will see a funny video of me trying to get this thing off

VERY common.
As a tech, 8 out of 10 brake jobs, I see the same thing, and I live in sunny california!
