It's one of my pet peeves, if you really think the country you are from is so great then why do you live here? If I moved away from the U.S. because I couldn't live here anymore due to poverty, tyranny, or whatever I sure as hell wouldn't be singing the praises of the U.S. in the country I moved to.

It's nice to have pride in your country and think it's the best in the world but every place has it faults. I like living in the U.S. but I'm not going to say it's the greatest country in the world because I haven't been every where in the world. I have pride in my own country and I was ready to fight for it. (The Air Force and Navy turned me away from what I wanted to do because of me being color blind) but how do I know I wouldn't like living in the U.K. better or Australia or wherever.

Totally understand where your coming from Mox...didn't know you were in the military..It's nice to meet a "brother in arms" (even if you were in another countries)

I'm not trying to argue with this next statement...but i've been to 86 countries while I was in the Canadian Military and I still think Canada was and is the best. Don't get me wrong, most or the countries I went to were amazing tho.

If I had to pick another country cause I was made to live there it would be France cause their health care system and family beliefs (in the workplace) makes Canada's look like shit..and We have and Amazing Health care and family friendly workplace system here.

I'm from a Military Family, My father was Air Force, my uncle was Marines, my great uncle was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam, etc etc, but the military would not take me because of my color blindness. So technically I took all the tests and did all the paper work but I wasn't officially in the military.
