What is your reaction when your downstairs neighbor (apartments) comes home from work early....and as you are outside wiping your car down, opens the trunk on his vehicle that for some reason had to be parked next to yours, drags out a dead deer and yells "dinner?"

So true.... If you have ever gutted a fresh road kill deer, that's bad enough. Now one that's had a day in warm weather....

It seems I did leave out that he said he saw it get hit by a bus or a truck or something and pulled over and put it in his trunk...

This man, I don't think, is even allowed to touch a gun by law.

I don't see how there would be any good meat left if it was hit by something that large.

Wouldn't that also leave the possibility of accidentally ripping open the intestines and effectively contaminating the meat with bile?

Yeah, if it was a car and it got whacked in the head that wouldn't be too bad. But a large vehicle is gonna do a hell of a lot of damage.

I wouldn't touch that deer with a stick.

Sick story:

When I was little I was riding home with my mom and we past a semi on the side of the road. As we passed the semi I looked back at it and saw the driver with a shovel prying a deer off the front of his truck. I don't think I will ever forget that

Not so sick story:

I almost whacked a deer on Wednesday when I was up in New York. Probably only 5' away from the deer, glad I stopped in time.

Pfft. The Prius is so arrow-dynamic that the deer would have just floated over it in the slip-stream.

I had one at windshield level, leap across a two lane, in front of me in my Omni. It literally never touched the pavement the whole way across. Missed it by a foot or two.

It was one of the most awesome, and yet shit my pants moments, I've experienced.

I'm just glad the red fellow in the sleigh wasn't behind it.

if you hit it with a car or a truck at lower speed there is alot of meat left
like we hit a doe at 70 mph in a nissan and the one front shoulder was ruin that was it
and yes sometimes the stomach does rip open but its not any diferent if you accedentally get a gut shot hunting
yes it sticks very very bad but it washes lol

Yeah, fresh road kill is fine.

Some of you may remember mom in the kitchen pounding the living daylights out of a slab of beef.

When asked what she was doing... the reply was... tenderizing dinner.

Well, consider road kill that has been smacked hard pre-tenderized.
