He's correct. I'd even take it one step further and say your asshole comments are boring. You seem to think you're so high and mighty since you quit driving your clone status neon for a real SRT. Either way, it's a neon, it's reliable and we like them. No one said they were gods gift to earth. Obviously that could only be reserved for a Honda....

I agree. As stated earlier, people butthump the crap outta Neons on here, and a lot of SRT folks (not dropping names, in general) act as though their NEON is teh best car ever. It's all a matter of opinion, preference, and individual funds.

I respect a car enthusiast, regardless of what they drive. I may not agree necessarily with how they mod, but we all share a common passion that we ought to be respecting.

As for me, I dont have a main preference. As long as it looks good to "me", and I own it, I'll do what I can to fix it up. I mean c'mon, isnt that how we grew up guys(and girls)? As little kids watching a nice car with rims, exhaust, paint job or stereo rollin by and we'd be like, "damn, thats MY car!!!" Well, I think thats how it should stay. Back up your ride with pride but dont forget that its all about speed and makin it look good.

Neons were looked over in the aftermarket world compared to Honda's. Probably because there was MUCH more enthusiasm in their scene than there was for people in the Neon scene. Not saying that there aint a shit load of Neon lovers around. But for example, I'll cruise around in summer on a friday night.... I'll see a mix of integras, civic coupes and hatchs, a few g35's, WRX's, maybe 1 or 2 srt-4s. ONE I mean ONE if I'm lucky, other neon like mine rollin around. It's just, most people don't bother with our cars. Because of NGC maybe, or that it's not worth the money. Idk. I love Honda's I love Neon's. /of my rant.

The neon was barely supported by it's own creator, why should the aftermarket invest in it? believe me, the aftermarket watches what is heavily promoted, so it can gear up to provide products for that market. Why would they invest in something that gets no air time, or magazine space?

I just DONT get why people have a hard-on for honda.

Could i have made more power cheaper? ya, but thats because the market is made for hondas, because thats what people are into. And I wanted a challenge.

Go ahead, make more power with a civic, have a faster 1/4 time, Ill be drivin my neon around the street enjoying being different.

We aren't a dying breed as the history of tuning "classics" still is more dominant than tuning modern domestic cars. On top of this idea you have to contend with that mentality of the "classic" car still being superior to the modern domestic car. Couple this with the tuning of imports and you get what we have today.

And for the record never in hell would I take an SI civic over my car. But a s2k or an rsx is a different story. Only honda i'd own is s2k. Only acura I'd own is rsx or maybe type r integra.

Alot of my honda hate comes from the idiots around me who put big body kits on, primer the car black when the previous paint job was fine, slap an ebay turbo kit on, and claim to have the fastest car in the world as their exhaust is smoking more than their tires.
