I'm no father, but I know what kind of pain your daughter will go thru. I've been thru it. Horrible mistake this woman is making. Good luck to you sir. I wish you and your daughter well.

thanks for all the love and support everyone. it's tough, it sucks royally, but i've come to the realiziation that SHE is the one that made this choice, not me. she is the one that has thrown our family away, and she is the one that will get to live with and regret that choice the rest of her life. i downloaded all the papers today, and tomorrow i'll get some paper for the new printer and get em whipped out and start on em. im staying positive, for Jaid, and i picked her up this morning at 10am, to start my full custody, the beginning of her and i's life together. i'm pretty stoked about the possibilities after i get the tax return. i'm gonna prove to myself, Jaid, and the soon-to-be ex that i can and will do this.

I can't even believe that you asked her to come back... Dude she will just do it again even if she came back.. I'm glad you will be taking care of the kid and wish you the best bro.. If I were you make sure you keep all the emails that admit to her cheating so you can show your kid that shit when he gets older.

Even though she cheated on him... that is still his kids mother.

He should never bad mouth her infront of the child....

Mike knows not to bad mouth Steph in front of Jaid. We talked about this the other day.

Mike has his shit straight and it looks like Jaid is in the best of hands.

Jaid will be able to make a decision on her own about her mother when she is old enough to do so.

All Jaid needs to know is that mommy decided to live somewhere else. I don't know what a good answer to "why" would be but I think he has a little time to think of that one.

i commend you on your control over the situation mike, sounds like you have your shit together and will be a positive figure in your daughters life. and that is the most important thing, women come and go, but our little girls stay in our hearts forever. and you always have friends here on 2gn

she says because i drink and smoke and a friend introduced me to someone, I'm not the best choice for Jaid and she's now taking custody. I'm so furious it's not even funny. things just keep going back and forth with her, all I want is my little girl. is that seriously too much to ask?

Tnk, just stay mature about it, and keep your cool. You presenting yourself as a mature adult handling the situation will go over much better if you have to go to court.
