usually they dont even care about the actual price...just what the payments are gonna be.

The market sets the price of anything. People of all ages want a WRX. High miles on a Subaru is usually not a worry. A beat on turbo car is my worry but most people don't usually look any car over really well if they find the color and price they want. High demand cars like Evos and STi's are still going to very high prices because they are hard to find in good shape. Beat up ones just go for slightly less.
Hell, go look at the prices of "stock" turbo Talons/Eclipses with 10 owners on the carfax. Even 15 years later, they are going for far too much money. People want it, they will pay it. Around here, a turbo AWD car is worth a ton. That $11K WRX with 135K would be snatched up in days if it was clean.
