I donno, its all in how you look at it. If you see it as a Neon replacement, then yes it is the shityst thing ever. But if you see it as a whole new vechile, then its not quite as bad.

Dodge is now saying the Caliber won't be competing with entry level models, and it's price point basically confirms that. All we can hope now is that a more car-like small Dodge is on the horizon as well, or better yet some Solstice/Sky competition. I've read rumors of a Dodge-badged VW Polo (?!?) coming to the states, that could be interesting.

And on SRT-8s, my parents are talking about getting one next year, probabaly a Charger.

I HIGHLY doubt a rebadged VW will be the next enrty level Dodge. Thats like Toyota rebadging the Sentra as the new entry level Toyo.

I think it is unlikely too, but that's what I have heard. VW is supposed to have a version of the next gen Caravan/Voyager as well. Stranger things have happened.

Regardless, I hope Dodge comes up with some sort of small car platform that will truly replace the neon soon.

He said co-operation on a small car did not mean that the two models had to be produced on the same underpinnings but could share other technologies and have different identities.
Besides your a first genner, what do you know? JK
