I know there is an age difference between us and I'm sure that plays at least some factor into this.

As I said, weight loss never hurts, but I'd look into getting a second opinion in terms of the severity.

I certainly understand that. I never said it was minor difference.

I remember this same doctor telling David that he was morbidly obese, and David certainly is not.

I just bought this neon about 2 weeks ago, it was just a picture the previous seller had taken and I used that.

A member on here made it for me lol.

There is a whole section on the forum for signatures. Take a look at your pictures and see which one would look best with maybe your username in it or something.

I certainly understand that. I never said it was minor difference.

I remember this same doctor telling David that he was morbidly obese, and David certainly is not.
I appreciate the opinions expressed. It isn't my doc who used the "morbidly obese" phrase, it is a Body Mass Index chart in his office which states that, for my weight and height, I fit into that category. My family doc is basing his opinion on the results of my recently increasing blood pressure and periodic blood tests. My endocrinologist tried to put me on the same medication back in January. There is a history of cholesterol and heart problems in my family tree so a lot of this is genetic and can't be changed, only modified with medication. There has been a blood sugar level question for me since junior high (when I was a stick!). What has complicated things even more is that I recently discovered that I have lost an inch in height since high school and that makes me even more overweight according to that chart. At 24, I weighed 164 pounds when I was 6'1 and 1/2". Now I weigh 246 and stand 6' 1/2". I think the concern about the weight is how rapidly I have gained- I weighed 204 pounds when I started my current job back in 2004.

When I was 27 I was healthy and weighed 130 pounds

Now at 5'6" and 202 lbs I'm morbidly obese ... but that's a minor health issue for me. My point was that,
as we get older certain health problems get more dangerous in terms of our "survival".

shit... working 2 jobs and schooling full time..

i'm 21, 5'8", 115 lbs. i thought I may have had issues, but from 2 doctors, they just told me I burned more calories than I consumed.

I weight less now than when I was in 10th grade (was 120lbs). that sucks... hardly any body fat though :D

Thats your problem, you are feeding your body too often, try only eating every 4 hours.

Yeah, kinda. If your body knows there is a constant supply of food, it will not put anything into storage, so to speak. If your body thinks that food is getting scarce, it will store any sugars consumed as fat to allow survival though the "lean times".

Let's hear it for our bodies still working like they did during the age of primitive man

Ah a random post thread.

Have t been here in months! Quick update to anyone who cares; I have been laid off from my job (back in February of 2011) and finished out my secondary education certification on social studies. My daughter is now 2. My son is 15 1/2 and has his permit. I worked all spring as a substitute teacher, but still no jobs. Recently got turned down for a security job at a casino because I was "not qualified." Finally, the only state in the union to have history jobs is Texas, so I am moving south if things pan out.

How is everyone??

any good ways to mount your Front license plate on the bottom opening of the bumper but NOT bending it (as i guess it's against the law).

edit:

i was pulled over the other night and cop didn't give me any tickets, but told me my tires are illegal because of the of tread. my license plate light was illegal because it's white and you can see it (bullshit claim), no front license plate, and he thought I was an .. :quotes: auto crosser :quotes: ? what ever the hell that is. if you know, please share!! then he went on and told me that my back window which is a giant sticker is illegal because i can't see out of it. bleh. i wasn't going to debate with him. I get pulled over enough I am just nice and respectful as much as I can be.
