Going on topic for a second...

I was bored and decided to see how far away that red sedan is from me...

It's only a 12 hour drive, one way.... lol.

If he'd take the offer I made though... I'd drive... or fly in and drive home.

We'll see... no e-mail back yet.

Back off topic:

I am going to dinner, movie then hitting up the casinos to play some black jack tonight... maybe I'll hit big.

doubtful but it'll be fun anyways

Update: I've emailed probably 4 different people....I think most have been four doors.

A 4 door would be more practical but I like the looks of the coupes.

Seems like most of them are in missouri...

Oh well... we'll see.

When I find one I like.. I'll sell the lude. It should be EASY to sell... I have had so many offers while driving it.

One even when I was showing the lude to a prospective buyer for the s2k... he was like no dice on the s2k i want that lude.

lol

No, I want the red 4 door with low miles.

Still no email back from that guy... we'll see...

I got airline miles I can use from my CC rewards. I doubt it'd take much gas money to drive 11 hours home :P

o rly?....

I'm 1st gen stupid... it says DOHC newer motor... so is that a 2.4 DOHC or what?

Wonder what springs he has...

I'd like to call and ask questions BUT I don't like calling and being the guy that is like "well, I'll let you know when my car sells"

Just looked up a flight from here to St Louis.... it's around $100... and I got that easily covered with my airline miles.

Maybe I should actively pursue selling my car now...lol

I will take additonal pics when i get in the office in the morning. No body damage, no mechanical issues, ac/heat both work. Ride great, I drove it home this evening no problems, great communter car. I have a carfax, and i can let you know it is a 1 owner, fleet owned vehicle. (AT&T). Do you want to come see it in the morning?

Okay, Red R/t,

Has some clear coat fading on the roof

If you look at the bottom left picture he said theres a tiny hole in the bumper like someone backed into something.

He bought the car with no motor in it and the motor currently in it came from a junkyard with 70k miles on it. He drives 300 miles a day for work and has had zero issues / leaks.

He said it's got eibach springs with stock struts and the interior is like a 7/8 out of 10. Could use a good steam cleaning.

He isn't FIRM on his price so I'd be willing to bet he'd take 2000 if offered.

Couple minor door dings here and there he said and the sun roof isn't working but he has the part to fix it on order.

He is going to shoot me some more pictures tomorrow of the engine/interior/clear coat issues.

This one looks meh... maybe it's the interior throwing me off... but it's closer... and I'd probably offer em 1500.

I'd look on .org myself:

http://forums.neons.org/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=358100

10.5:1 built motor with crane 22's. Part out the cams for $400 themselves, the head for $300, the block for some money, then buy a 2.4 block, srt rods and pistons, and an SRT turbo, and run it on the MS that's in the car!@

Just an option, lots of decent cars for sale over there. It's where I found my two 1gn's, and where fuzzy found his.

I'd rather start on an unmolested project though.

YES. They are the sex, literally. If I could force myself to shell out the cash, those are the wheels that I would have on my 98.
