You just told us you have no money. :facepalm3:

Manny, Manny, Manny. Just go to court, don't act like a dumbass, and hopefully you can get the ticket reduced. You've got a lot of strikes against you, so don't be surprised if they throw the book at you. Good luck...

Ok if you have a job you can make the payments. My last ticket was like $200+ maybe even $300 for making an illegal turn or some stupid shit like that. I was guna contest the fuckin thing but i figured wtf, i already have a somewhat bad record they aint guna believe me so yea...

This makes me wana check my record.

My opinion, go to court, if u cant get it dropped or even reduced ask to make payments and do traffic school, youl pay more but the points dont go on your record. Atleast thats how it works here

Hey Manny,

I am curious, how the police managed to actually clock you going over the limit ? :-k

Was it on radar ? Where were they hiding ?
Or did they clock you, trying to keep up with you on the ramp ?

Personally, if this were my ticket, I would talk to a lawyer about this.
It sounds to me like the cop has made a mistake (either that, or he is exaggerating how fast you were actually going.)

I have been to the 'wonderful' state of IN., going to the MoPar Nationals and other car meets.....
The general impression that I get of the police in IN., is that they tend to lack a sense of humor.
My brother and I went through Brownsburg, IN., once, and in just 20 min.of driving, we saw no fewer than 4 people get pulled over (one of them, was a proverbial little old lady in a Ply.Horizon or Dodge Omni..... no joke.)

They pull people over who are doing something wrong here. Like they ought to in any state. Your demographic doesn't matter.

Manny, whether it was 26+ or not, were you speeding? Sounds like you broke the law man. Also, unless you're 100% in knowing you're clear and didn't do it, don't hire a lawyer. If you lose, or only get it reduced, you'll likely have lawyer fees on top of your court fees and initial penalty fees.

Just go into court, tell them you plea guilty with explanation.

Tell him that yes you where speeding, but you believe it wasn't as fast as the cop stated.

This is the easy way and the judge will respect you for it. Instead of the typical "young driver" that goes in and says the cop is wrong.

I state im guilty with explanation all 3 times (2 for speeding and 1 for spinning tires as a stoplight) and I got two pbj's and only a fine with with no points.

Step 1: Set parking brake

Step 2: Push in clutch and make sure the transmission is in 1st.

Step 3: Rev the engine to a good 5000rpm or more.

Step 4: Dump the clutch and enjoy a smoky burnout and possibly a meeting with your diff pin.

Not that hard.

OK....

1. Set parking brake

2. Hold foot on brake and push gas to the floor to flash the converter.

3. Release brake.

In the case of an automatic(and not caring for the car), put it in N and rev it up and pop it in D.

:D Gotta hate when that happens.

Now if it was a Toyota, you might get away with it.

Somehow I have been lucky, and seen the officer first, but had thought of doing some stupid/fun act.

Except in my younger days. I guess I've honed in that 6th sense, of when to hesitate. Prolly my best one, was being clocked at 87 mph with all four tires in the air.

OK, let's review here...

You admit to speeding but don't know how fast you were going, yes? So it's entirely possible you DID make it to 80 MPH by that logic. Either way, you were speeding and got a ticket. Your fault.

You say you have no money and won't be making your next insurance payment, but you have a car fund and have been buying mods and stuff. Uh... do you not realize that Insurance is REQUIRED nationwide? If you get pulled over without insurance you're assfucked with a tree trunk. I think the fine for that around here is 5K+ so I would not recommend that option at all. Not to mention if you (God forbid) get into an accident while not having insurance... then you're fucked even worse.

And finally... just like Josh said, if you cannot afford the ticket, don't speed.

You got yourself into this, I doubt going to court will help you any (I've fought a lot of tickets and have only "won" one of them) so you should pay the fine, see if you can get traffic school (except that it's more money) if you can (around here you cannot take the school if you have a ticket within 12 months, I think) and most of all... get yourself a real fucking job man! You pay your insurance and gas and are cashed out? Go work at McDonalds or something man...

Oh... and how can you not afford the ticket (or insurance) if you just paid off your CC's? Did you close the accounts? If not, you should have an available balance, and should be able to pay those on there!
