Exactly. I know that everyone seems to want larger FMICs but there is a reason why Dodge put a crash bar on these cars. Glad that mine is still stock!glhs837 wrote:Pity, a working crash beam could have prevented a lot of that damage. That's what it does, amongst other things. 5mph? Yeah, I do buy that. See a crash beam would have sent that impact into parts of the car strong enough to resit those forces. Lacking that, the rest of the front end took the damage.

i see radiator core support damage. lol. its deffinately going to be considered totaled.
my Blue neon was the same thing. it was like a 8k damage alone if a shop would of fixed it. o well. maybe he is smart and buys it back and then parts it out.

I'd say at least 5k in damages. He's not gonna get 6k for it but that really sucks.
PS - That slowboy crash bar isn't really going to save you in a wreck. I think it's more for tightening up the front of the car since the crash beam is gone.

Saw he wanted 6000 for it... there's no way he will get 6.... ive ran across several good condition 70k mile srts for 7-12...
i know my sbr bar isn't as good as oem BUT i rather have that then nothing at all, and i don't follow close anyway so i think ill be fine.

my accident awhile ago that looked somewhat similar to that had damages upwards of 13k at a really good shop near me (if you don't know the details of how my car wasn't totaled ask, but its a long story). Now I had some things that weren't SRT replaced saving a couple grand so I'm going to say somewhere between 13-15k at a very reputable shop (I suspect some frame straightening may need to take place).
