I got my SRT-4

Ok so here is what is going down now, I'm getting a bill of sale for sure, but then the owner, myself, and my father are all going to the bank where the lien is being held and drive there in the car itself. We all go in and I transfer the money from my account to him. Then he pays off the loan, thus eliminating the lien, and a lien release is immediately stapled to the title. At that point we move to the side he signs the title over to me and then I drive the car home and he gets a ride. Then we go to the DMV with the title and the lien release and register it in my name.

Why not just pay it yourself instead of transferring the money to him and him paying it off? Seems like an extra step that's not necessary to me.

Yeah I know it seems like an extra step to me as well, but my dad wants it this way and the way I see it for the extra 5 minutes its going to take to satisfy him, its totally worth it for an SRT

Alright the car will be transferred to my name on the 20th and I just got temporary insurance for it through Allstate. I can't believe this is really happening
