Was it sent as an eCheck?

Don't send anything until it clears and make sure the buyer is aware of that.

Send PayPal an email and ask.

no it says instant? idk what the hell is going on but i sent them a msg saying that is says its on hold for 21 days . and i will not ship until it clears

he money for this payment is being temporarily held in your pending balance. It will be held for up to 21 days. While it's being held, it won't be available for withdrawal.

We'll move the money to your available balance after 21 days as long as your buyer hasn't reported a problem. It may be available sooner if we can confirm that the item was delivered or, if this is an eBay item, your buyer leaves positive feedback.

To get access to this money more quickly, please process this order right away and openly communicate with your customer.
We recommend that you:

1. Check on this page to see if you're eligible for seller protection
2. Ship to the buyer's address on this page
3. Use a shipping service that offers signature confirmation
4. Save all tracking information or other proof of shipment and enter tracking information.

So paypal is promoting that you send items before payment is fully cleared.

Yet, I'm sure if it doesn't clear and you throw a fit they will say you should have waited for it to clear.

Paypal does that with some buyers for some reason. The money is on hold to you. Paypal has the money, but they won't let you have it until the person gets the item and doesn't have any complaints.

If you don't want to ship, and the person that bought it is unhappy about it and lets paypal know, you probably won't get the money.

Its more of a safeguard for him it seems. PayPal did something similar to me not long ago I started selling a lot on eBay and like 1-10 sales would have this happen. I actually have money pending in my PayPal right now that I cannot touch yet.

Are you in the middle of a dispute? I know that'll throw off your entire PP rep and whatnot.

no i just sold the games tonight and it was obo type auction and i send them a counter offer to what they sent me. they accepted it and it said i needed to ship one item. so i went to paypal to see if the money is in there and it says its being held for 21 days or until the ppl leave a + feedback

ok now i went and put this on my auctions

as i am just finding out paypal sometimes places holds on funds, i will not ship any item i am selling until payment is clear , if this is an issue please do not place a bid on items

So in essence, they are forcing you to use their shipping label, to get more fees from you.

the shipping label is free just have to pay the shipping cost, they said they are doing this so that way they know for sure it is being shipped out to protect both the seller and buyer from fraud. its not like i need the money right now bc i dont but i dont like the fact if i did want to use it i cant yet

Never had to deal with that with Paypal before and I've sold tons of things. Is your paypal account personal or business??

its * Account Type: Premier
* Status: Verified

as of today bc i upgraded it to get the debit card so i dont have to wait to have money transferred to my checking

the reason why its doing this is bc i only have 14 feed back on ebay and its all from buying this is the first time i have sold anything its something new they started back in march i guess

And it's a personal account, business accounts don't deal with that. I have hundreds of feedbacks maybe that's why.

Mines not business and I've NEVER had my funds hold like that...

Hopefully that shit doesn't start or I'll find another company to do business with.
