This is not good

Post by cbjones26 » Sat May 22, 2010 11:13 am

ok yesterday at about 1pm-130pm i started feeling sick, my arms from elbows to finger tips went numb got tingly , the muscles in my hands lost all control of them ( hands where like if i was griping a baseball) coulndt move my fingers or anything, kepts have sharp pains up and down my arms would go from one to the other, felt like something was squeezing my left arm near my elbow, had blurred vision i could still see things but coulndt really tell what they where.

all i ate yesterday was 2 double burgers from bk the 8 piece chicken tender meal and drank 2 32oz Gatorade ( i didnt drink the soda with the meal )

i thought my bs was low so that is why i stopped to bk well about an hr or so later the symptoms have not gone away, so i call work and see what they want me to do. bc this has happened to me 3 times since last nov. so i know it goes away but it can be 2 hrs or 12 hrs they tell me they cant have me come in bc of the blurred vision and what not.

now i am only hired on as summer temp right now, but they like my work and out of the 7 ppl they have hired i am the one they are looking at hiring at the end of the summer. i am now worried bc i have only been there for 3 weeks. i had tues wed off then worked 3pm-3am on thur, im afraid bc im summer temp and i couldn't work that i wont get the job.

i have been to the er and they have not done any tests one me and its pissing me off. the ppl at the after hrs clinc said i could either have diabetes or there is a slight chance i might have an aneurysm in my head. how the hell can they tell me this with out any tests. nothing like scaring the living hell out of me being my aunt, grandmother and one of my grand fathers all died from a brain aneurysm.

idk what to do, im still having issues but if i go to the er they are either going to do nothing and im gonna get a 500-1000 bill or they are going to take me off work until they fig it out and then i will be let go . :banghead: :banghead:

Sounds like early stage of stroke. I'm not sure why ER doesn't take it seriously. But I hope everything goes ok with you. Best wishes.

I'm not a doctor, but my son and I have experienced some bizarre effects from stress. You are under stress from the uncertainties of your job situation.
With our fucked-up economy, a lot of people are under more stress now.

OMFG!!!!!!!

This happened to my best friend about 2 or so weeks ago.... he was up at school and didn't eat that day and only had like 2 or so bottles of water, he was playing soccer all day and when he got home the same exact thing happened to him. Arms numb etc etc etc, it looked like he was having a stroke.. Got a bunch of blood work done and everything came back fine. They didn't issue a CAT scan or MRI though which i thought was very bizarre. Well best of luck to you and if you find out whats wrong shoot me a pm cause my friend sounds like hes suffering from the same thing

I won't consider it overweight a lot. Food is one important issue and exercise too. Try to drink a 250ml of water with one tiny spoon of salt every morning when getting up and it will get most of the craps in the stomach out. Don't put too much oil in food. Stop eating beef and port but fish and chicken. Eat more vegetables and fruits... there are all kind of tips that can be done to enhance the health situation. However, you have to watch out your cholesterol, glucose and others that is related to those cardiovascular problems.

If this is something serious, the job won't really matter. You don't need money when you are dead.

ya well i just got great news today they are thinking of replacing me bc of me gettin sick. this is BS. im the hardest worker there, i can outwork 98% of the workers in that mill. i was told today that i also need to slow down. bc i do more work in my one shift then others do in 3 shifts.

i feel fine now.

i cant stop eating beef are u nuts,.!!! i dont eat pork. other then ham from the deli. and maybe once in a while ill get a slice of ham or some bacon for bfast ( maybe 2 times a yr i dont eat bfast much)

i know im dehydrated enough so i know it has nothing to do with that, and the last time i had blood work done everything came back great. maybe i need to go see a neurologist.

i was on celexa for anxiety but i had to stop taking that bc of my work schedule i didnt need to be on it anymore anyways,. i have no real stress other then the gf ( lol)
i dont have any money issues or anything like that so no stress about that.
up until the other day , this is the best i have felt in the last 2 years.

that doesnt quite make sense, if you really are the best worker (which i believe you) then why would they get rid of you. second of all if they are getting rid of you for one sick day or being legitamately sick do you really want to work for them? ppl get sick its a fact of life, i wouldnt want to work for someone that bitches if i have to take a sick day and threaten to fire me... srry just my .02

^Then if you are not happy about working there why not just f* it and go find another one. I know it's hard to find job during this econ situation but if it makes you sick and unhappy, it won't worth it as long as you are hard worker and doing everything well. just my opinion.
