Dante was up here the other day and we hung out at Matt's house (Nitehawk) and had a barbeque and shot the shit for a few hours. Dante brought the minivan (Caliber R/T) with him. When we left he followed me out and when we got on the highway he got in the left lane cruising next to me and the road was clear so I tapped the horn 3 times and went. The problem was he downshifted and took off... I floored it and accelerated nice and slow and took a good minute to catch up with him. ATXs are gay and my neon is fucking slow. I need a swap. Now..

Don't worry, the Caliber R/T, CVT, AWD is as slow as an ATX Neon.

Well I'm working part time as of yesterday.. Same job I quit back in '06 working with my brother's civil engineering firm testing earthwork fill compaction levels outside all day with 100 lbs of radioactive metal.. It's tons of fun. At least now I'll be making more than the $8.25/hr I made back then since I have a degree now (unrelated to the field). I'm hoping to get $12-$13/hr so I'll be saving money until I find a career in my field. I'll also have to start repaying school loans soon. I have some projects to finish up and hopefully within the year I will get SERIOUS about looking for/finding a swap donor. This was always my plan, and it'll be the easiest since I can't run MS here because of inspection/emissions and I don't want to buy an SRT due to the cost of insuring one. Eventually I want to buy a new Challenger R/T and keep this neon.

Yes, but if you wanted AWD (The AWD isn't very impressive imo) you had to get the CVT.

CVT FTL.

I've never trusted my ATX since I got the car either... It hesitates sometimes when it should shift and moves in and out of 1st gear pretty hard I think. Like bump-shift.. Idk, I hate it and I just know with my luck it'll fail on me. I have awful luck with transmissions.

The CVT isn't that bad. It takes a little getting used to. The autostick makes it a little better.

I, for one, am happy being slow. After owning a sporty car, and making zero use of said speed, I don't see much point anymore.

Josh, I'm tired of having SLOW cars. I had a Spirit... old lady car, yet they had a fast R/T... which I did not have. Now I have a neon, and there's a faster SRT... which I don't have. I LOVE how it handles now minus all the fucking potholes EVERYWHERE in this city :roll: Fuck, I think I'mma move back to IN with Adam, their streets averaged nicer than most of our good streets. Anyway, I just want the car to be able to power itself and most of all I want a fucking manual already!

Anth.. I hear that. I was tired of my car (looking) gay, so I worked on that firsts since I could spread it out and afford it. Now that it's getting where I want it and I'm done with school I'm finally going to be able to focus on what I've been wanting to do. GO MOAR FASTER!

Ah yes, seeing a 'better' modeled version is fucking annoying. That's why I flew to Atlanta, GA to get my xB. Every fucking option I wanted, with the price/miles/color. Never going to 'settle for second best' when getting a car again

Just install v-tec, Jet chip stage 2 and tune the NOS and you should be low 9s through the quarter. :thumbup:

I'm gonna try to get my gay ATX to the 1/8 track near me and post the slip (1/4 mile is too far). I got some repairs to do first though and I'm broke.

I ain't worried about the stock clutch. I let my brother try to learn and he stalled it like 16 times. Also not too worried about the tires. I'll get the exhaust fixed that way I can stand to drive it to pittsburgh so that we can meet up soon.

Then you can feel a 2.4 lol.

Not trying to be an ass. I use gay too much to be honest. Like just about everything is gay that I don't like or doesn't go my way.
