about 4 months if that

the interior is kinda dirty but other then that paint is good ( no rusted rocker panels lol or any rust on the body at all) other then that little bit on the hood.

im just not 100% if i want pay 400 for a car that dont run,. but its a 1 gn coupe 5 speed with no body rust which is what i want... hmm

i just done like the idea of coolant being mixed with the oil (most likely) and sitting for 4 mo. if you do get it flush the hell out of the engine.

well if i get this it wont be running before the end of the summer i dont really need another car, but i want a project car, and i want a 1gn coupe.

my dads gonna let me keep it in his garage, and im thinking if i get it to have the whole engine rebuild etc. im gonna try to talk the guy lower, if he wont ill tell him ill give him the 400 but i want him to tow it to my dads which is like less then 1/4 mile away.

if i do get it to, timing belt, water pump etc everything that can be done will be done.

:withstupid:

I would bolt the (reconditioned) head onto a 2gn engine/2000 trans. Unless you're planning on boost, it might be a cheaper option, if you can locate a lower mileage driveline.

 I think the body is worth more than $400.00. A few years I bought a complete 2002 Neon engine with only 20K miles, that was waranteed by LKQ for only $1,000. I hope you get the car.

I see a money pit where the repairs are going to be more than if you spent 3k on a functioning car.

It will be a money pit. At 191, the motor is not worth fixing unless you do a full rebuild. Then there are countless other issues that may not stop the car from driving, but need to be fixed regardless.

well i was planning on having the whole engine taken out complete build.

this isnt going to be used as dd, my dad said he would help fund the project, ( he wanted me to do it with the 2000 but the body is to far gone to do that) and this is a 2 door .

i would just buy it and srt swap but there are no swaps around my area. shit the local jy has never even had a srt in it. or so they say.

the only thing im not sure about to is, im not 100% convinced its a r/t, the guy that owns it says it is but it doesnt have anything emblems on it sayin r/t ill have to get the vin and have someone check it i think.

and yes i was planning on going boost, like i said this isnt going to be a dd, and will stored in dads garage during winters.

I think you'd be better of finding a cleaner low mileage shell without a drivetrain.

id have to agree, with this many miles i'm sure all the bushings are shot, along with struts and who knows what else

i have thought about that, but the big issue is any shell that is close to me with in like a few hundred miles isnt in this kinda shape. they are like the 2000 i have all rotted.
