I like this idea. I would def take a paycut for a job that I felt more comfortable at and was closer.

Negotiate with them.

If there is no budging on an increase immediately...

Tell them you will start at their wage and if they are
still happy with you after 3 months a pre-negotiated
wage increase will kick in. Just make sure you get all
this in writing so there is no revisionist view of history.

:withstupid:

If they have a hard on for you that bad, they will make some kind of negotiation. They will get as cheap of a price as they can, just like anywhere else. If you undersell yourself, they aren't going to argue. All they can say is no.

well i took the job at fred roberts auto, they faught to give me more money, and i just seemed to fit in more. a raise would be coming to me in march time, so i can live... after more money i got down to a 30 dollar a week pay cut.... but i am only working 40 hrs... so that is really nice considering that i had to work 50 plus at my last job....

once the background check goes threw i should be starting soon...

cant wait to start a new job...

Only 30 bucks a week drop for 10 hours less? That's a damn good deal.

Wasn't this the place that's closer than before? Perhaps you'll spend less in gas and it'll work itself out?

Glad to hear you're going to be working again!

If you are working 10 less hours and only lost $30 bucks then you should be making more money an hour here, correct?

Plus you'll save almost that in gas.

yeah, the new job is about 15 min closer... can get to work in alittle under ten min accually... and the thirty dollars less was already factoring cutting gas money.... but 30 dollars is not much considering 10 less hours min. per week.... a good deal... cant wait for them to get back to me, so we can get a exact start date...

i have gotten some projects done on the neon while i have been off... so win win all the way around... :)
